I use Windows 7 with Google as my home page how can I get mt Windows LiveMail to open now that I use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer?

I have changed from Windows Explorer to Firefox, but still use Google as my homepage. With Internet Explorer, the Windows Livemail 'Read Mail' icon shows. How can I get this facility on my new Firefox/Google setup please?
