I am a scientist who has no time for local quirkiness and prefer to have the correct timestamp on all documents in Firefox. I do not wish to ever see any of this nonsense 03/04/96 trash on my computer since it is completely meaningless and hence is trash which needs to be removed automatically. 2024 03 07 19:19

Three countries in the world still use the imperial system from the 19th century. Three out of 195 countries use this antiquated nonsense. Liberia, Myanmar and another place called "united states of America" because they have not been able to educate their populations to accept a single unified system of weights, measures and all other units of reference. Please lift them out of the darkness.

Maybe try out the en-GB Firefox version or another EN locale if you currently use en-US.

Offline, its fine: 2024February 21 at 11:25 was the release date of 123.0 version of Firefox. Online: Look above 3/7/24, 11:54 AM

Now what sort of nonsense is that for 192 nations to have to put up with?

We don't want confusing nonsense on our screens at all.

This website's "English" only supports "en-US" locale. If you change it to "de" the time format will change accordingly:

I work on a mac which is continually threatening to collapse for lack of space and so I don't want to put any more useless data into it. "de" I presume means German standard but they are also not up to date with the rest of the world and place the date in the own peculiar backward style. Hence I do not wish to load this down without the knowledge if this is the case.

Different websites may display dates in different time formats. While there may be an ISO standard, that is not mandatory or practical for Firefox to enforce on all websites globally.
