Print options are not enabled - grayed out

I use Windows 10 version 10.0.17134 Build 17134. Firefox Quantum 62.0.3

I want to print only a selected text in Mozilla Firefox. I select Print from the menu on right side of page. A new page opens (at this stage I can not access any other pages that were open in more other tabs). I click on Print button and print dialog box opens. There the Selection option is not enabled (grayed out) and there is no option to select individual pages to print, only pages From - To. It has been like this for many years :-( Why it has not been fixed ??? It is sooooo annoying and time wasting.

There is another option (solution) to this annoying problem. I just tried to bring up the print dialog box and print by using Ctrl+P shortcut. And guess what ??? In the dialog box NOW I can use the Selection option. But why this option is grayed out when I use Print from the menu ??? What is the difference ??? Totally hopeless. Is it going to be fixed? I hope so. Many people do not use shortcuts. How would they know about it ???
