Software problems
Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to improve my alcatel fire e. I have a number of problems previously reported here, problems rendering pages, menus missing, phone freezing. In short this is the worst phone I have ever owned. Alcatel don't respond to any support emails. Handset can't go back to place of purchase due to being outside of 28 day return. I think Mozilla have made the android mistake of not directly updating. Are there solutions any solutions. Thanks

I understand that you are having issues with your Alcatel OneTouch Fire E device. Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done by Mozilla since the device-specific builds are created and maintained by manufacturers.
For information and questions on how and if you can update your device should be directed to the phone's manufacturer who maintains the OS that runs on those phones.

Unfortunately you have paired with a smartphone maker who don't respond to support emails. FFOS 2.0 is very buggy, I fear my Alcatel Fire e will never receive an update. If Mozilla want to succeed its not good enough to pass the buck. We all know what happens when smartphone manufacturers aka Android, are left to update, they don't. Effectively there is no solution. My first and last Firefox OS phone!
