better, more narrow, more appropriate search

Forgive me my ignorance, but there was options in a drop down that one could use to make a better search. Like- search must contain these words- must not contain these words- must have these words in title and etc.. FF may not have had it but some browser did. And there were short cuts ie. ( ) around a word or set of them meant they must be used in page exactly as written or { } these should not appear in page. Is there such a thing in FF?

hello SteeleAS, this is a question where the answer depends on the particular search engine that you use in firefox. many search engines offer to narrow down the search with certain operators: google - https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/2466433 yahoo - https://help.yahoo.com/kb/search/yahoo-search-sln2242.html

you can also use these operators when you search through firefox...
