version of firefox no longer supported, downloaded new version into download folder, extracted into new folder. The downloaded file has tar.bz2 extension. This is a wasye of time. This type of file will not open with deb installer or software manager.

Solution choisie

Basically you just extract the tarball archive and run the Firefox script or make a desktop or panel launcher to it. simple. There is no installer or source or compiling done.

Not really the most practical thing to offer Firefox in .deb and or .rpm packages as not all Linux distros use that and there is the dependencies also.

The tar.bz2 file is a zip file which contains a precompiled version of Firefox; unzip it into your home folder and run the executable file.

Zorin is a fork of Ubuntu so there should be a package manager that handles application installations/updates for you. Please see:
