I would like to upload a profile photo on 2 different professional networking websites. I get an error message for both and my photo is not uploaded. What can I do ?

I want to upload a photo to have a profile picture on LinkedIn and Viadeo (both professional networking websites). On both sites, I get a message telling me there was an error during the transfer. I do respect the websites guidelines about format and size. What can I do to be able to upload a picture ?
