Why is every dictionary app needs internet connection?

After downloading several dictionary apps I found that they all need internet connection to run.

Chosen solution

There are no apps that are available to be used offline. As a side note, when downloading and installing via Marketplace, an app may be labelled 'works offline', in which if an app does not have that label, the app is not available to work offline.
