The icon for private browsing has recently re-appeared on my taskbar despite having browser.privateWindowSeparation.enabled set to false in about:config.

I've had this setting configured ever since the update which completely changed the appearance/behavior or private browsing and it has worked correctly up until today (14/06/24).

Is there a new setting that I have to adjust in order to "merge" the windows together as I'm not a fan of having the private browsing icon on my taskbar.

Nightly updated this morning and the help menu from the sandwich has stopped working. The menu options display, but none of them function. Mouse click makes the menu disappear as if it's going to show the panel attached to the option.

Hi, how can I zoom in and out on websites without changing any display or layout? For example, on some sites, zooming changes the layout of the text so that it all fits on the screen. Or zooming on some sites doesn't affect the size of the images, only the text. How can I zoom in so as to see the page in its original layout but with a wider view, thus preserving the scales of all the elements (as if I were zooming in on a picture) ? (in the screen below, zooming change the relative scale of the elements) Thank you for your help.

Hi! I wish to edit my limit on how instances firefox runs but i cant. I searched up how to change but cant find the option for it. It said that i should just untick use recommended setting in performance but all that happens is tht i get anotheter option to untick hardware accleration.

Something happened with your new update, and now my computer is not working. i cannot get my emails to come even though i choose the email button. The wheel just keeps turning and turning, and will not ever get to the emails. The same thing happens when i try other favorites buttons on the top of the page. i do not know the correct words to describe what i am trying to say because i am not tech savvy at all. i am a senior citizen who needs my computer to work again. What has happened? i do not understand any of the directions given to me when you have answered me today. i do not understand the details! i am very frustrated right now, and have spent a lot of my day trying to get my computer working the way it did yesterday. Hello. I have an issue with Firefox. Last week Facebook stopped showing images when run on Firefox. These are in the Feed and photos, etc. I tried refreshing, clearing cookies, history and cache. I changed enhanced tracking but nothing stops this. Are there any suggestions to repair this or could it be a bug? I work on Windows 10. Please help.

Hello, I'm running FF 124.0.2 64 but in Win 10 on a PC. I have the bookmarks right across the top of the page; the sixth from the left at the moment is Seloger's website. If I have a tab open looking at a TV program website and right click on a link to see more details in a new tab, the new tab opens ok, but the TV program website is overwritten by the Seloger's website. If I use the "previous" arrows, it reverts to the TV program site. If I change the order of the bookmarks across the page, the TV program website will be overwritten by the bookmark then in the sixth from left position. This is driving me mad. How can I force FF to stay with the open tab and not change it by itself?

When I go to Settings > Privacy & Security the only "autofill" setting is to import data from another browser. I am signed in, in the US, and my VPN is set to Seattle.

session is completely gone. I tried to restore it via various help articles and forum posts but without success.

I see a stg-backups-ff-126.0.1 fodler in my download folder which contains information about tabs that I had open. But I don't know how to use firefox to use that file.

I alos tried to the \sessionstore-backups folder with files named like "previous.jsonlz4" but I do not get the menu option for restoring a session.

When I opened Firefox web browser it did an update today, and since then I cannot find my bookmarks, sign ins or passwords. I need help here and I am not very tech savvy at over 72 years old.

FF just did an update and now I can barely use the browser. Its slow and then spins and crashes... it took me 6 minutes to just get this open and type this. All my links and sign ins are on it... ugh... How do I reverse the update? thanks

as you can see in the screenshot it says the mic is only"allowed temporarily" and when i go to permissions it doesn't let me add a site to grant perms i can just search for sites and thats it. its annoying cuz on textnow i have to keep granting perms

After the tab crashes there appears a box from Firefox that says it will report the tab crash and then at the bottom of the info box there is the option of reconnecting or reestablishing the connection with the tab that had just crashed but nothing seems to be happening. I am not getting an indication that the issue is being looked at and I am 99% positive that no one from Firefox has been in touch with me about a permanent fix for this issue which is becoming more annoying all the time. No longer able to copy or paste text on Firefox with Windows 10. Copy and Paste are greyed out in the right click menu after selecting text. Using CTRL-C, V or P does nothing at all. Still works fine in other browsers. What has Firefox broken again this time?

When I click on certain name on my friends list to do a video call when I click the camera on the message page, it says: Can not do video calls from this browser. So do some do not. I disabled all addons and still it says the same error. Is it because of Facebook encryptions? I also could before. So what now?
