Hola recién instale Fedora 37 en mi pc y me esta pasando una cosa que solo me ocurre con Firefox, no con Chrome u otra aplicación:

Yo tengo la barra superior de Gnome con una extensión que la oculta y solo la muestra al acercar el mouse, algo parecido me hace el dock inferior. El problema es que cuando tengo en primer plano el navegador de Firefox si lo tengo a ventana completa (no full screen) osea que ocupe todo el espacio de la pantalla cuando acerco el mouse para mostrar el dock o la barra superior me la muestra pero en décimas de segundo desaparece y tengo que ser muy rápido para picar y conseguir que se quede fija, como digo esto solo pasa con este navegador con el resto de aplicaciones no pasa, además yo tengo 2 pantallas y cuando tengo abierta una ventana en cada pantalla con Firefox a ventana completa (no full screen) a veces me empieza hacer un fundido a negro una o las 2 pantallas, y empieza a parpadear hasta que consigo pararlo clickando sobre la pantalla.

Como solo me pasa con Firefox, entiendo que es un problema de Firefox y no de Fedora o Gnome-shell.

Me pregunto si sería posible recuperar el acceso directo para el modo presentación de los archivos PDF, y no tener que ir al menú, cada vez que se quiera acceder. Existía antes de la última actualización, no creo que sea difícil volver a recuperarlo, ya que lo hacía mas práctico y cómodo para los que manejamos este tipo de archivos habitualmente. Y otra cuestión. En efecto utilizo Linux, concretamente Ubuntu 22.10. Veo que hay una actualización, la 107.0.1 que no permite instalar. ¿La única manera sería desinstalar la versión actual por las bravas y reinstalar la versión nueva o mejor lo dejo como está?. ¿Significa que, a partir de ahora, no habrá actualizaciones de Firefox para Ubuntu o es solo ocasional?. De momento nada mas, gracias de antemano.

El alfabeto cirílico se ve de esta manera en páginas como duolingo y wikipedia, he intentado cambiar que fuente usa pero el problema solo se soluciona en wikipedia, cambiando en General > Tipos de letra > Cirílico > Sans-Serif

I have a private server with HTTPS. I've generated my own CA and server certificate. I've installed the server certificate on the https server. I've installed the CA certificate on /usr/share/ca-certificates on the client. I've installed the CA certificate in firefox 102.4.0esr on the client. And finally, I've installed the CA certificate in others browsers on the client.

Now: - I can connect without issue to my HTTPS server with curl, lynx,wget... from the client. - I can connect to my HTTPS server from chromium, opera, vivaldi browsers. But firefox keep complaining about bad cert SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN The message is very confusing: " Firefox does not trust this site because it uses a certificate that is not valid for plain.uxl. The certificate is only valid for the following names: *.uxl, .uxl, plain.uxl " I've attached an screenshot of the warning.

Can anybody help me to resolve this issue?

Quiero poder refrescar mis paginas que desarrollo y para ello necesito que el cache este en 0MB como se hacía antiguamente, no me sirve las soluciones de limpiar el cache manualmente no de permitir que el sitio no guarde cache y cookies porque utilizo una cookie de sesión para otras cosas y este tipo de configuración imposibilita lo que quiero.

En varia ocaciones utilizando mozilla la version 106.0.5 me cuelga el equipo y no hay manera de sacarlo de ahi la unica opcion es resetear el equipo. Me ha estado pasando en las ultimas actualizaciones

When navigating in some pages, specially in google docs, the browser's URI fragment (the part after the #) changes frequently for each page/header/slide, and all of them are stored in the history.

That behavior adds lots of entries in the history and also hinders the usage of the search functionality of the address bar (as all the duplicates are shown instead of shown only one and other pages). I want to keep one entry per document, at least in specific pages like gdocs where the "fragment" doesn't add any useful information and each document can have lots of them.

Is there any way to configure that behavior, to not save every fragment in the history?

To reproduce the above behavior (the same behavior happens in other pages, not only gdocs):

- Open any gdocs document with several headers, or a gdocs presentation with several pages.
- Navigate all the document/presentation, and check the history.
- Close the document/presentation tab/window.
- In a new window/tab, use the address bar to search the document/presentation by the document name: several entries for the same document/presentation are shown (and if they are lots of them, no other different entries with same words are shown in the address bar).
- Check also the history: several entries of the same document/presentation are shown (it could be hundreds for long documents, and thousands after seen few documents).

Is there currently a way to merge the history from 2 different files, for example merge a previous profile backup with the current profile history file?

I have seen the same question asked long time ago (10 years ago), but the answer was to use the bookmarks (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/928204), and the history could be very long to manage it as bookmarks.

I want to know if in new Firefox versions (or in current/up-to-date addons) there is a way to merge 2 (or more) history files without using the bookmarks.

Como indico en el titulo, Firefox ha convertido mi barra de direcciones en algo absolutamente inútil al llenarla de iconos redundantes pues los que me interesan los tengo en la barra de herramientas (que para eso es), en color, que es como se distinguen bien y rápido (la naturaleza nos dio visión en color por algo, amigos diseñadores de IU de Mozilla que se empeñan en obligarnos a practicar el daltonismo). Lo peor es el letrero «Contenedor temporal X» con los iconos correspondientes al principio y al final; como se ve en el pantallazo que adjunto, se come fácilmente el 60% del espacio disponible en una barra con una anchura de 500 px, pero los otros también molestan bastante y entre todos es imposible ver o copiar/modificar la dirección de la página en que está uno. ¿Hay forma de quitar todos esos iconos, auqnue tenga que ir de uno en uno?

I've been using Firefox on Ubuntu since years ago, I use Firefox Sync and I have the browser configured to always restore previous session.

Some days ago I installed KDE desktop (I don't know if it has something to do with the issue) but since then, if I open Firefox from the panel or the KDE menu, it neither restore the previous session nor logs in Firefox Sync.

Either if I leave that new window open or not, If I click a http/https link, for example, from a Thunderbird email, it will open a new Firefox window with the last session and Firefox Sync logged in.

So, if I want to start with the last session tabs, I must open Firefox from an external link.

What can be the reason?
