Do you have a FirefoxOS Phone? Or are you using Firefox on an Android phone?

Sadly, I already read that articles and I couldn't find any help.

When I open the music app there are just 4 options at the bottom of the screen.

1. View all music files. 2. Open the playlist menu. 3. Find music by artist. 4. Find music by album.

I thought that there has to be a way to search a song by just typing the name of the song but I couldn't find that option, so I checked online for a solution and I read - Playing Music on Firefox OS and I saw that there was a fifth option that somehow I don't have called "Find music by song tittle"

I just want to type the name of any song and play it, not scroll down till I get to the artist and then select the song.

I noticed the "Play music" article has this comment by Michael Verdi:

"I just discovered that there is a search feature in the music app. It's in 1.1 - not sure if this is also in 1.0.1. From the main music screen, touch and drag down on the album covers to reveal the search bar. Once you tap the search bar you can just start typing. The app will search as you type."

Does that work?

I tried to touch and drag on the album cover and nothing happened.

I am running the 1.0.1.0 version, with an Alcatel One Touch Fire, I didn't know that there was an 1.1 version, when I try to update the system it says that the system is already up to date.

Maybe the help article is running ahead of the deployment of firmware? Or behind? Unfortunately, I don't have access to any FirefoxOS devices myself and searching for screenshots and videos has been a very frustrating experience. Also, the emulator doesn't work well for this because it needs an SD card with music on it.

I did little bit more of research and I found that the 1.1 version comes with that option, but it seems that the only phone that's getting that system update is the Geeksphone. I think I just have to wait and eventually it'll come.

As far as 'plans', those are with ZTE and Alcatel for their devices. Neither has 1.1 available at this time as far as I understand (1.1 version is only in developer preview/pre-release testing now).
