When i download a file of type 'stl' using firefox, downloaded file looses its extension '.stl' . Then what should i do setting for firefox to get file with extenstion .stl? Thank you

I have emails with download links of files of type stl When i download file from email link using firefox it looses its extension and i can't open it in stl file viewer. But it works perfactly in other browsers like Google Crome,IE. So how to get stl file with extension from download link using firefox, pls help Thank you
