firefox starts but hangs up with :about:sessionrestore" in the http field

I added a plug-in yesterday and when I restarted firefox, it hangs and this is the response I get: "about:sessionrestore" in the http field. I can log on as a different user and start firefox without any problems. Any suggestions????

I cannot get firefox 3.6.6 or 3.6.8 to finish launching, but I loaded the beta 4 version and that seems to work just fine.

Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak and any existing files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js .

There are no files with the name session* in my mozilla directory.
