? Show URL-format plain text as a clickable-link when the <a href="url"> HTML tag is missing ?
Design Team question:
When _reading_ a message, Thunderbird does not show plain-text as a clickable-link when the <a href="url"> HTML tag is missing -- even if the plain-text looks like a valid-format URL.
But when _composing_ a message, Thunderbird will automatically supply the matching <a href="url"> tag for URL-format plain text (even for links in a message I forward that exhibit the behavior described above).
Is this strict interpretation of [missing] HTML tags a 'feature' or an 'accident'?
