You can use the Search bar on the New Tab page or you can search the Web from the address bar. You can also change your search settings in Firefox to add a separate Search bar next to the address bar.You can also customize Firefox to add a separate Search bar to your Firefox toolbar.
Follow these steps to add a Search bar to your Firefox toolbar:
- In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click and select (select on older macOS versions).Click the menu button and select .
- Click on the left panel.
- Click .
- Close the page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
Tip: Here's another way to add or remove the Search bar: Click the menu button , then click and select

Tip:If using the keyboard, you can use the Tab and Shift + Tab keys to focus the Search bar item, and then open the context menu to add or remove it from the toolbar.

Note: The separate Search bar will be automatically removed if you haven't used it for 120 days.
