This article describes what to do if you cannot download attachments in Microsoft's Hotmail or Windows Live Mail.
Clear cookies and cache
- Click the menu button

- Click and select
- In the Time range to clear: drop-down, select Everything.
- Below the drop-down menu, select both Cookies and Cache. Make sure other items you want to keep are not selected.

- Click the menu button to open the menu panel.
- Click and select
- In the When: drop-down, select Everything.
- Below the drop-down menu, select both Cookies and site data and Temporary cached files and pages. Make sure other items you want to keep are not selected.
- Click .
Update security software
Some Internet security software (including antivirus, anti-spyware, firewall, and privacy programs) can cause this problem (particularly Trend Micro Internet Security). If clearing your cookies and cache above does not fix the problem, update your Internet security software.
