Dear Support people, Firefox now not opening several sites (which open when I cut and paste url into MS Edge). This has become increasingly inconvenient. I have put the respective sites urls in the "Exceptions" files for both cookies and pop-ups. This has sometimes helped, but is not working at all now. I've been with FF for years, but am thinking of switching to another browser now. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

Good Day All - Previously I had installed a extension for my homepage. I had to reinstall my operating system and now that I'm reinstalling firefox I can't find the extension I was using previously. Is there any way in Firefox to see the history of the extensions tied to my account ?

only happens on firefox but i and a bunch of others get ads when we sub on twitch to people and it only shows the ads in firefox so its definitely something broke with firefox/

I'm an old user of Firefox since the Netscape times. For the last few weeks, Firefox become so slow on all my computers.

I have 2GBps internet connection and

• a fast PC (i9 11900/64GB/NVMe SSD RAID/3080Ti, Win 11 for Workstations, wired Ethernet@2.5GBps)
• a once-it-was-fast notebook (i7 8750H+32GB+NVMe SSD, 1660 GTX, Win 11 Pro, wifi 802.11ax >800MBps)
• and a relatively slow notebook (Ryzen 3 2300 or the like, 4GB, Win 10 x64, wifi 802.11n).
• All of them have the latest op system, drivers, firmware, etc.

A common scenario:

• I try to open a webpage in Firefox, nothing happens;
• I switch to Chrome (or Opera, Edge), open the same page, it opens in 1-2s;
• I switch back to Firefox that is still at the middle of loading the page;

I can play it on all the 3 equipment, the result is the same: Ff is much slower than any other browser on my PCs.

There is one common app that is present on all the machines: my paid-for security package that I won't turn off. If Firefox has any problem with it (that Chrome, Opera and Edge don't have), Ff must go (with my regrets).

I tried to turn off all the plugins but it didn't help. I don't think it's plugin related as Ff is still so slow w/o any plugin enabled.

If you could give me a hint where to look for the cause that would be great.

Your browser is a bit unusual...

Try disabling ad blockers and other extensions, enabling javascript, using a different web browser or turning off your VPN.

I've asked this question a long time ago, and received no answers. I resorted to resetting it every time, however a new problem has come about, forcing me to ask again.

Whenever I open my browser, my tabs have reset themselves to default width. I prefer them at a wider width, so I navigate to about:config and edit the browser.tabs.tabMinWidth to 100. I have to do this every time.

However, for some reason doing this now also hides/removes tab close buttons on each tab, which is problematic to my style of browsing.

I had an userCSS file, but even after removing it as a test, the problem persists. If it matters, my style of browsing has me keep two windows open at any given time. I did try to change it with only one window open, but the change did not stick.

Only tab-specific add-ons I have are FoxyTab and a tab suspender.

Any help is appreciated, be it making sure the tab close buttons do not disappear, or be it making sure the tabs remain at minimum of 100 width.

Keeps freezing. Keep getting "not responding" message. Typically I can have several tabs open on two screens but now after using Firefox for a while I start having issues. Really just want my favorite browser back.

My firefox is presenting some malfunction on many features that are not working as they should. I tried to updated to it the last version to solve. It did not work. So I tried to restore it. which should work as I dont think its problems has to do with cookies or saved personal info. It did not work as well. So here some of the problems:

1- My firefox's home page is suppose to show my most visted sites. But it shows only empty/blank space. (image ) 2- I cant add any extension to my toolbar. They simply dont appear when I try to edit it. 3- I cant remove/edit any favorites (changes are not applied). 4- Some extension are just not working. for no reason. Betterttv for example. (Tried to reinstall, reset permission. ). they were working normally before. 5- autofill are not working. Does not show the options.

All this does not make any sense to me. As I've tried to solve restoring the firefox. Only cookies, passwords and personal info should have being kept and I dont think they are the cause of all this. I dont wanna to fully clean reinstall it as there are many logins, passwords and other info saved that I dont even remember. In additon it does not make any sense to me at all.

I have been using Firefox for a very, VERY long time and until recently, loved it.

I have a few newer issues now:

1). If I am NOT on the internet using Firefox (Which is for internet use), why is it still running? This slows my system down while I am working with graphics programs. It should do an update check when I use it on the net (As a non-invasive background process) and not interfere with my work.

2). When I am online playing my game (Wizard 101), IF I have Firefox running in the background, I get lots, I mean LOTS of lag time and freezing screens. If I don't activate Firefox, then there is no lag or freezing screens.

Before you say I need to check my computer; sorry but THAT is NOT the problem. I have been using the same computer and the ONLY change is the "5 Million" tiny updates of Firefox.

So how do I fix these issues...or do I dump Firefox (And all things Mozilla) and find another browser program? Is it wrong to expect better from you guys??

Is there any effective way to disable this stupid updates that breaks what you do and force you to restart?

Having changed for a time to another browser and imported/exported back and forth, I am presently with three bookmark menus, one after another. When a bookmark does not appear, I have to go to manage bookmarks to see in which one it is. Is there a possibility of merging the menus or only by manually checking in one menu and scrolling to the next, etc. and eventually deleting the excess? If the last is the only option, is there any way to get a second display to work from instead of having to scroll back and forth? Thank you for your imput.

FireFox continues to provide no easy solution to the ever decreasing font size in menus and toolbars. This is an accessibility issue and FireFox fails. Yes, I can increase text font size of displayed webpages, but this doesn't address the more profound issue of font size in the browser itself (menu and toolbar text). This has been a known issue for years. The only solution offered is writing code, which is no solution at all.
