There's a useful option on the Windows desktop app to enable access for local network devices, like casting/streaming/smart home etc. I cannot find a similar option on the Android app?

Next best thing seems to be excluding specific apps from using the VPN but this isn't really what I'm looking for. Am I missing something? :)
