Thanks for the clarification!

No, there is no way for Mozilla or Cloudflare to link traffic to a user.

  • Mozilla receives data relating to the user, as a Firefox Account is required to access Firefox Private Network, and Cloudflare receives data regarding the traffic itself. Neither party has access to both the user data and the traffic, so it is not possible to link traffic to a specific user.

There are also strict limits imposed on how long this data can be retained, and all data is discarded after 24 hours unless necessary for security or legal obligations.

The FPN and Cloudflare privacy policies have more details regarding how your data is handled.

Hi krebstar,

Could you clarify for me a little bit on what you mean?

Are you asking if there is a log of users who use FPN, or are you asking if your activity while using FPN is logged?

I am more concerned with, while using the service, does FF or CloudFlare have any way of linking traffic to a user? So, is activity being logged while on FPN?
