Thunderbird will not download emails later that August 30, 2022

My wife's Thunderbird application seems stalled . All I can see is the blue rotating circle. No emails after August 30 2022 will download . And the upper left hand corner… (Lesen Sie mehr)

My wife's Thunderbird application seems stalled . All I can see is the blue rotating circle. No emails after August 30 2022 will download . And the upper left hand corner has a period that is continually moving right to left and back again. She set up the email yesterday because her android phone was easier to use (Har, har). Gmails server apparently downloaded 13, 598 emails yesterday (8-30) and hasn't downloaded any since that date.. What's going on. She's attempting to renew her Green card and I'm more that a little concerned.

Since installing Thunderbird for windows v102.3.0 (32-bit), I can't dismiss a calendar event, which keeps looping to ask if I want to save or dismiss change for an "item changed on server" message. I rec'd the invite externally from Outlook. Neither option works; I can't delete the calendar entry either ... the event is stuck in an endless loop and will not dismiss. I'm now one day past the event date/time and still can't dismiss. Pls advise. Thank you.

I'm getting the following message when trying to delete multiple messages at a time. Sometimes it actually puts them in the trash folder but doesn't remove from Inbox. I've emptied the trash & did a compact folder. Still have problem.

The messages could not be moved or copied to folder 'Trash on cindyr@neo.rr.com' because writing to folder failed. To gain disk space, from the File menu, first choose Empty Trash, and then choose Compact Folders, and then try again.

I used to have Address book on my menu bar and could right click on a mailing list and send a BCC email to all. In 102.3, the address book is now in a tab to the left of the window, and I cannot click to open an email to all. I cannot select, and copy all addresses in the list and copy to a new mail BCC field.. How can I now send an email to all in a mailing list? It used to be so simple! John

I recently and reluctantly converted from my Eudora mail client to Thunderbird about two months ago and I keep having this same problem. I am not sure if I have the correct settings activated so hopefully someone may be able to advise. I have Windows 10, laptop Accessing a "********@usa.net" address via "smtp.postoffice.net" "port 587" Problem is that my junk, sent, draft, trash messages re download when I log back in again. My understanding is that Thunderbird only downloads the headers whereas my Eudora downloaded the complete message so is the fact that it is only the headers being downloaded that it then re downloads them when logging back in?? It is so frustrating having to wait for these messages to download AGAIN when I am just trying to check my emails quickly. Can anyone advise what I might be doing wrong or what settings may need tweaking? Thank you

As of yessterday, whenever I click on a link in Thunderbird, it opens or tries to open a new browser window. even if Firefox is already open, the first click in an email will open it in a new window (this never happened before). if i click on a second link, for a while nothing happens then i get the message "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To use Firefox, you must first close the existing Firefox process, restart your device, or use a different profile." i have to close ALL other Firefox windows if i want to click on a second link.

i could not find any way in Thunderbird to change this behaviour, so i tried to see if something in Firefox needed to be changed. i was then very surprised to discover at the top of the Firefox Settings this message: "Your browser is being managed by your organisation." I'm an individual, at home, not an organisation. No organisation could or should be managing my browser settings and I have never seen this before.

i am now going a bit crazy going round in circles trying to solve the original problem and find out what this "managed by your organisation" means & whether that has anything to do with anything. it seems other people have also had this "managed by your organisation" problem, but all the solutions i can find relate to either windows (i'm on linux) or antivirus software (which i'm not using).

i did do some routine updates a couple of days ago so i'm assuming that something in that has changed either thunderbird or firefox, but i cannot for the life of me understand what. any help much appreciated!

My work email has access to three separate email inboxes under its single login. When I initially add my work email to thunderbird, it shows my inbox but not the other two that I monitor.

Is there a way to have these other two show up under my email login similarly to how they do in outlook?

Almost every time I start Thunderbird it says I have to restart to complete an update. It seems to be in an update "loop". It advises an update is available but it's 102.2.0 which is already installed! And this interference perhaps is causing the program lock up when I delete some read messages, so the only way out is a shutdown via Task Manager.

Asks for password for "mobile.charter.net" I think I have totally screwed up all the settings in trying to find a solution. I checked with my internet provider but no help.
