When adding a link in the composer I get a large image.

I have tried to adjust the page code to give me a more suitable size however it seems the TB overrides the size

html used to be easily accessed on the page of the individual emails. (see screenshot of it missing)

i have a need for it on an ongoing basis.

Can I make its accessibility just as simple/easy, without going to back to another release?

How do I restore selected emails or folders from a backup made with Export? I only want to bring in 30 or so (which were accidentally deleted). I'm using a Windows 11 PC.

I'm nervous about reloading the backup because it was some time ago (and I *really* don't want it to download new emails).

Thunderbird downloads from Gmail (a POP server) spam folder. It should only download from the "Inbox", isn't this correct? Gmail is not IMAP, which would dl all folders? Downloaded phishing and spam emails which come from the Gmail spam folder always have an incorrect time stamp.

Several days ago we inadvertently deleted batches of emails from our two Thunderbird Gmail accounts on our PC and Apple devices. The lost emails were duly recovered but only after having to change my Google password. However one of our Thunderbird Gmail account will not download any new messages coming in. Ultimately we deleted that account from Thunderbird, intending to reinstall it. We deleted the account by pressing the Red button in account settings. We confirmed that messages are received to Gmail's Web page Inbox Now when I attempt to reinstall the account and press Add Account, I get the UNABLE TO LOG IN AT SERVER MESSAGE shown below. The "Your Full Name" I am putting in is the name on the Google account deleted from Thunderbird, and the password I have tried is my new Google password. I have tried the process of not adding in the password until requested to do so but this did not work either. Any suggestions please?

I changed settings to no threading, but it continues to show the thread column in all the folders and do threading unless I manually remove the threading column from each folder - very time consuming. How do I get rid of the threading column globally?

After thoroughly searching this database, I could not locate an answer to the issue I am facing, although there seem to have been several similar cases.

My former university has recently decided to delete alumni email accounts, so I am using Thunderbird for email transferring from university to GMail (added both accounts to Thunderbird and then began copying emails and folders). Transfer is slow, depending on the server capabilities etc., but I am going folder by folder and so far it has been fine. I began the transfers a week ago.

Last night I noticed my Thunderbird inbox for my school is not showing anymore. The profile folder is only showing one file (.msf) for Inbox, instead of what should be, in my understanding, two files.

Thunderbird is still communicating well with the university email server because I made a folder rearrangement on the university webmail service (outlook.com) and it showed on Thunderbird. In addition, all my Inbox emails appear fine on the university webmail service (outlook.com).

Any ideas? This is obviously important and urgent.

'unique identifier' error and Inbox thinks it a draft folder. But only on one account. Messages to one of my mailboxes says it's coming from another of my email accounts, not the sender. If I right click the message in the Inbox I get an Edit Draft drop down. If I select 'open in another window' the From is correct in the new window. If I open an email in the Inbox the From shows coming from one my accounts. Started yesterday and I tried various ideas from faq's. Thanks!

Purchased new laptop. Used export tool in Thunderbird to external HD. Traded in old laptop. Installed Thunderbird & attempted to import my email profile. Import tool requires zip file, but the only file on my external HD is a .default file. I'm getting new email but none of my old emails. Consulted Best Buy Geek & he determined the import tool didn't work properly because the export was missing required files. We further determined the export backup must not have worked properly.

I just started having a issue where it will be for example noon , and I just get a email , that is not on top but down the list and it says 9am , or similar times where it is 1 or more hours later from the time on the email , but it just showed up , but its down on the list of recent emails , so for example I check emails and a few come in or I get a notice that I have a new email

I have Thunderbird minimized in the taskbar , I never close it , and it will show a email from a few hours ago that just came in , but its below emails that I have already read that were after that time , so basically its like some emails just randomly appear that didn't get delivered when they were supposed to along with the others at that time , this is not a 1 time thing , this has happend several times over the last few days

I can't find any Setting that allows me to choose Newest Emails on Top , or to check the Time to see if it thinks its a different time of day than it is when delivering , or to bring in emails in order of delivery time , newest first and so on , so if a email has a Delivery time of 9:38 am I actually recieve it at 9:38 am , for example I got a email showing the time at 12:48 PM as delivered (10 minutes ago , but I just got the email now at 12:58 am) , then I got one time stamped at 11:15am , and 11:13 am , and at 9:38 am , , the 9:38 am email came AFTER I got the 11:15 email by about 30 minutes , and the one I just now got (it was 12:58pm when I got it , but it shows a time of 12:48 pm so 10 minutes difference from the time it shows delivered to the time I actually got it) , this is while my email is open and I am looking at emails ..... Email Version .. 147.0 ..

Hi, I am trying to export a calendar from a Windows 10 PC into a Lubuntu PC. The exported Home.ics file is about 217KB. At stage 4 in the import process (which shows the file name correctly) a message in red says "No importable items found in the file" . In the main area it says "Loading items" but nothing happens. Am I missing something here? Thanks

I have created several address books in Thunderbird for my contacts. How can I add all the names in a particular address book to one of the fields such as Bcc without having to add them individually?

Hallo, Ich habe eine Emailadresse mit @gmx.at. Leider kann ich mich nach mehrmaligen Versuchen bei Thunderbird nicht anmelden da es mir immer wieder eine Fehlermeldung anzeigt, dass meine Daten nicht korrekt seien ( sie sind korrekt und konnte mich auch schon auf einer anderen Plattform anmelden). Was kann Ich noch tun um mich anzumelden.

For several weeks (I have a work-around for accessing emails) I'm unable to open Thunderbird. First instance of this was Sunday evening Dec 28. I've attached a screenshot of what I see.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird (twice) with obviously no joy.

Any insights would be appreciated.

Please fully explain any file or procedural references; in other words, please do not assume I lmow what you're talking about.

Hello, My SMTP server uses Let's Encrypt certificate. The website with the same domain has no certificate. Thunderbird refuses to connect to my SMTP server. Test connection to the server (STARTTLS) in account settings sais "The secure connection to the server failed" (or similar. I see bg localization). Another server with Let's Encrypt certificate. Test pases. Clicking View certificate shows webserver cert (from DigiCert Inc).

I can't send emails! :)

I use Thunderbird 115.18.0 on a Windows 7 machine. I wish to transfer all my Thunderbird data to a machine running Linux Mint 21.3 which has Thunderbird 128.12.0esr. I have not been successful after many tries. Could this be because the Thunderbird revisions are different? If so, can I get 115.18.0 to install on my Mint machine? If not how should I proceed? I have already tried creating a new .thunderbird directory with ********.default directory from the other machine. I have also tried a new .thunderbird directory with a the ********default-release directory as directed by one site.
