Using Thunderbird version 115.11.0 (64-bit) with Windows 7 OS and THREADING TURNED OFF.

When I receive a second reply to an email I've sent via one of my email service providers that uses an outlook365 server, my thunderbird view hides it beneath the first reply unless I manually intervene by clicking on the "greater than" sign associated with the first reply. When I do click on the first reply the greater than sign spins clockwise 90 degrees and the second reply appears below the first as if it were in a subdirectory.

The above behaviour is very inconvenient because I am prone to missing the second reply and have trouble anticipating its existence. Admittedly the unread second reply does change the first reply's text property to "bold" but I much prefer to see the new message without having to manually click on everything bold to check.

Another email service provider I use also has an Outlook365 server but second replies to emails are not hidden in its associated thunderbird inbox?

Can anything be done in thunderbird to stop this "feature" or is it absolutely fixed by service providers?

Since Thunderbird was upgraded to 115.10.1 (64-bit), it now fails to send SMTP messages with the following error.

Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) ***.mail.pairserver.com was lost in the middle of the transaction. Try again.

This affects all six(6) accounts in Thunderbird, all of them can receive and edit e-mail messages; however, all of them fail to send e-mail messages.

Prior versions of Thunderbird have worked with this configuration for many years.

Other e-mail clients such as Evolution do not have this issue and I have confirmed with my provider that Thunderbird is no longer sending e-mails.

Any thoughts on how to roll back Thunderbird until this issue is resolved?

I am encountering an issue with opening messages through the global search feature. Despite being able to locate the specific email, clicking on it does not display anything as depicted in Figure #2. I believe the email is stored in one of the folders.

I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how to properly open messages using the global search feature in order to reply based on the original correspondence.

When emails are pulled, I can see that it pulls, let's say, 50 messages, the notification shows 25 new messages but the inbox only shows 10. I have looked everywhere for the "missing messages" but don't see them anywhere. I have also had some people tell me that they sent an email response (so they were not entering the email address) and I don't see it.

What could cause these differences?

Several times lately I click on an email from cnet and it will not load. The reason is when Thunderbird passes the link to Firefox there is an extra https// added to the beginning: https//https//cnet... . Not all email links from cnet start with https//, but when they do I must manually delete the first one (in Firefox). Not sure which program, Thunderbird or Firefox, is causing the problem, but it is annoying.

My @gn.apc.org (IMAP) inbox has a limited capacity to display, to keep important email. They simply drop-off the list. It currently saves only today's emails. This cannot be correct. I have attached a timeline. Appreciate some info & advice

Is it possible to get different sounds for different accounts?

I use Thunderbird on my computer and have several email accounts. Is it possible to get a different sound for incoming mail in each account? If so, how?

I use Thunderbird for 18 email accounts and I have the "Inbox" of each of them in the "Favorite Folders" list. I would like to put them in the order of my preference, e.g. ones I use most on top of those I use seldom. It seems like I ought to be able to just click and drag them into order, but that doesn't work. How can I do that?

Imported address data from Outlook, the Thunderbird address books lists last names only under "names," email column is blank, phone numbers column lists email addresses and addresses column lists phone numbers. Selecting "Restore column order" has no effect. Any advice welcome. Thanks.

I want to support Mozilla but have no need for the complexity of Thunderbird. I find navigating the huge number of options hugely timewasting, eg I inadvertently remove some headers but can find no way of undoing this. Is there a cut down, simplified version I can use?

Why does the Tbird directory show two accounts with different content', for the same email address? Totally confusing. See attached screen shot redacted for privacy -- the email addresses are the same. One indicates 7 and the other 25 in the inbox. WHAT is going on?

Will my Thunderbird account stay open with Cox's new platform? I have had a Thunderbird email for at least 15 years and do not want to change to Yahoo as Cox is trying to implement. I have Cox.net as my email, a few years ago I switched to Thunderbird, I like it so much better.. But now Cox.net is moving their web base to yahoo mail, yet still using my original email bjacob3@cox.net.. So I had to go to yahoo and set up my original email thru them and change password for them.. Yet even tho I won't go thru yahoo, I still want my thunderbird to work.. I notice now that I still can get to my thunderbird mail, like I always do, yet I don't see any new mail coming in.. what do I do?
