I've noticed there is a "verified by Amazon" icon in my address bar next to the FF shield. How did it get there, can, or should, I remove it and how. I don't trust anything Amazon does, so if possible I would like it to be gone.

On certain websites I notices I have 'unknown errors' when trying to log in.

Usually this is remedied by either using Chrome or clearing cookies and the cache.

Both of there are inconvenient and result in a great deal of wasted time.

The usual response by these websites is "get Mozilla to fix this".

I'm getting sick of this.

I don't want to switch to Chrome but I will have to if this persists.

Firefox cannot access my local filesystem. When I open a PDF in the browser and click the Save button, nothing happens. When I click a "Browse..." button to browse the filesystem and upload a file to a website, nothing happens.

This issue does not happen in Google Chrome. This issue persists in Troubleshooting Mode.

Please help! I'd be glad to provide more details as requested.

I have a backup on my portable drive, where the F.Fox files cannot be deleted, not with WinRar either, they cannot be renamed. These are system files for F.Fox. The folder location is AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/ggsw864i.default-release/storage/default. In this folder I have had several files that belongs to the long file name category. They are compressed, cannot separate them by opening and cannot rename them for to assign a shorten name. There is no Properties to open. The files starting string: https+++ I have several data on this HD and it would be a huge task move the content then reformatting the drive. I did try the Windows Command Prompt rename method - it does not work either. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi there , I am interested to know if Mozilla support group is aware of the problem Microsoft update KB4474419 causes? I am running widows 7 sp1. I installed the update as you mentioned in your Firefox 100 release notes. After reboot , I got a beep and a black screen - win 7 won't start. I had to find a way to delete the update so I could boot my system back. I asked few of my colleagues that use the same OS and they experienced the exact same problem. Surfing the web , makes it quite clear - this update is faulty and not compatible with win 7 as Microsoft claims. I would like to get a straight answer - can I update my FF99 to FF100 , without the notorious KB4474419 , or , as of FF100 , win7 sp1 is no longer applicable to Firefox ? Thanks. look4

I need to print out my saved passwords. I have no cellphone to access, just my laptop and printer. I only use Firefox and no other browser. If my laptop gets hacked or breaks down, then I need to use someone else's computer to access my passwords in an emergency, and can't access my passwords to do so...so printing them out periodically is the smartest thing I can think of.

Help, anyone? This is pretty important to me. Thank you!

My google drive keeps disconnecting, and google drive/google docs links are not working. I have attached a screenshot of the new tab page when I copy paste a google sheets document URL into the search bar and hit enter. After the reloading icon animates, I stay on the new tab page and the url just sits there. The debug console shows 1 GET request that is timed out (picture also attached).

I can fix the issue by completely closing all firefox windows and opening again, but it will disconnect me after some minutes.

Firefox keeps disabling addons randomly, some of them are made by mozilla even. I am getting them from the official addon site so they shouldn't be illegitimate ones. Let me know what information about my install I can give to help.

Hi, I'm trying to clear my cache and site data (in order to update my gmail signature), and each time I clear selected sites - namely gmail which had hundreds of thousands of GB cached - it just comes back. After tyring this 4-5 times, Youtube started having hundred of thousands of GB cached too!! So now, despite managing data an clearing these repeatedly, there's more than when I started. I think I'm stuck in a loop somewhere, please help! thanks in advance

Followed instructions. Prefs. Privacy/Security. AutoPlay. Settings. But the screen does not look like the instructions and does not have check boxes. has box to enter url for exceptions but does not do anything. I don't want exceptions, I would like default to be autoplay off for all sites.

How do I do this. Thank you.

Hi everyone; Recently my FB account got hacked and I went through hell and back to get it recovered. Funny thing is, it still doesn't work, it did briefly for the initial login just enough time to enable a 2 step challenge for which I selected SMS, NOT any security key via USB. As you can see in the picture, every time when I try to login (or switch in FB from a backup account into the primary), I'll get this message. Now it's stating that it's a Firefox/Mozilla request but it only appeared after my FB was hacked, never before. Could a developer/SME please take a look at this? Current Version 99.0.1 (64-bit)

Hi there. I'm in the process of switching from Chrome and I want to import my passwords.

I first tried the 'import from Chrome' option - it says it's successful, but nothing has actually been added. Same result after several attempts.

I then tried the csv route. I found out I had to change the config settings, so I did just that, but the 'import CSV' option still isn't showing even after a reset.

So now I'm at a dead end. Any bright ideas please? TIA!

My firefox browser is completely unable to load any tabs. The search bar works but screen remains blank after pressing enter, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no change. Thank you any help

Every week, for work, I need to download at least one large video file from Microsoft OneDrive and then upload it to YouTube. (These are MP4s in the range of 200 - 800 MB.) For the last couple of months, maybe longer, the download keeps failing in Firefox. When I switch to Chrome, the same MP4 downloads with no problem.

Any idea what might be going on? Usually the file starts downloading just fine; I see the bar gradually filling up in the notification area, but then it suddenly stops and says "Failed." If I retry, the same thing just happens again.

I'm not using any kind of download manager (that I'm aware of), just relying on Firefox's default download behavior when I click on the "Download" link on the OneDrive web page (sample URL: https://olucdenver-my.sharepoint.com/personal/YADA_YADA/_layouts/15/onedrive.aspx?id=LONG_QUERY_STRING_HERE).

I have a new email address that I need to add in my profile. I have entered the new email but it seems to never have completed the process and doesn't show up as a secondary email, so I can remove the old address that I have been trying to close for 6 months. Now when I re-enter the address as an add, I get a message that it already exists and the page locks up...I can't do anything with it, except close it or go back 1 page. I would like to close the old address, but I can't since it is the only address to receive email from Firefox. HOW do I get this fixed and move on ?????? Thanks, Mitch

Each time Firefox updates, the email client changes to the outlook default. The last 2-3 updates, mailto does not appear on the file,settings,applications menu. Nor will it populate if I type it in. I have tried every instruction to no avail. I am a long-time firefox user, non-techie and it is discouraging when things disappear with each update lately. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks
