Near the top of the page on the right hand side you can switch from imperial to metric units. The link is set to metric values, but the search input is still using imperial dimensions (see this on the left side of the page as you scroll down) But it works in Chrome!

The is one a myriad of problems I have encountered with Firefox. My installation at home frequently stops searching. It won't perform a web search. Typically when I fire up Chrome in frustration to this constant event, Firefox starts working again. I have removed and reinstalled Firefox, but this did not solve the problem. It's my understanding the Google finances Firefox. Are these problems intentional?

My computer has been having some problems lately: Any rough handling might trigger the computer to shut off instantly or restart automatically. This is likely a hardware issue, probably a loose battery or something. The Firefox-related issue is that sometimes, upon turning the computer back on, something odd happens to my browser session: It is set back to three months earlier. The recent browsing button show everything having been browsed three months ago; but when I check my history, all my most recent tabs are there. This is tedious whenever it happens, as I have to spend about an hour manually opening everything I've lost (that I want to keep) from history. If there's a way to bulk re-open a bunch of tabs, I don't know how. All that has become something of a routine annoyance (it happens maybe once every two months) but I'd gotten used to it and it wasn't really an urgent problem. Today, however, I dropped my phone on my laptop, triggering a restart and a blue screen with a message that said something like "we're cleaning things up for you." It's what usually happens when I drop something on or accidentally elbow my thinkbad. (More commonly I move my computer a little bit and it just shuts off completely, goes black.) Before this happened I was due a firefox update, and I found it had done so when I turned my computer back on. I realised immediately that I had lost some tabs, and I assumed that it was just a three month setback. Upon opening my recent browsing though, I found out with horror that I'd been set back nine months. I cannot restore from a nine month period manually. I don't have the time, energy or willpower. I'm asking here if anyone knows how to bulk restore tabs from history or how to restore my session to how it was just a few hours ago. Thanks

Hello when i am on facebook,and i want to do a video chat or a call chat it now tells me that video or voice calling is not supported by this browser,yet it was all working fine about a week ago and i went to do a video call two days ago and now i can't,i have no idea what has happened regards mark

I am migrating to a new laptop. The new laptop keeps asking me for a primary password. I have never set one up. This issue doesn't happen on the old machine, only the new one. It also won't let me disable the pop-up that asks for the primary password. Please advise.

I have tried multiple Firefox Extensions for saving images instead of using the default Right-click "Image Save as" function, so reduce steps. All of the extensions have the same issue. When the filename already exists, there is no failure but instead a (1) is appended to the end of the file name. No message/prompt either to skip/cancel. It just silently appends. And (2) (3) and so on.

Is this a limitation of the Firefox WebExtensions API? Is it not possible to return a verbose failure for existing filenames?

Firefox seems to forget edits made to text boxes. I was reading a large pdf and adding notes to previously made text boxes. I thought I must be going crazy as I saw there was no notes I thought I had already made multiple times so I tested it. I edited a text box, scrolled a bit and continued browsing on another monitor. Checked in a minute and boom edit gone. If anyone has a solution I'd appreciate it as I have been using Firefox PDF editor for a bit and quite liked it until now.

Today while using firefox all my open tabs and windows crashed. Due to the situation, I had to restart my computer because everything was stuck. When it restarted I couldn't restore the previous session so I used various methods to restore it but I still can't restore the windows and tabs that were open today. I would like you to restore my session from before the failure today.

My Firefox browser recently updated to 115.11.0esr (64-bit), and now embedded videos won't play, I can initially see a picture, but instead of starting to play, the screen turns dark green and I can only hear the sound. This happened once before recently, but then it seemed to fix itself after a week or two. How can this be fixed?

I have looked around the Internet for similar issues, but most of them appear to address the moronic F11 full-screen problem. I'd be grateful to know if a 'tabs bar' option remains in FF126, and if so, how to enable it. Many thanks.

My Mozilla Firefox Web developer tool keeps autonomously toggling on/off in any Firefox window/tab..

Its as-if I'm repeatedly hitting Ctrl-Shft-I (which brings up the web developer tool in the bottom 1/4 of the browser).

I've checked all Setting, turned off all hardware acceleration as suggested for similar flickering problem (which wasn't on anyway).

I use Norton 360 Security Software but have Norton Safe Web disabled. The only active Extensions are Firefox Multi-Container and Firefox Sideview.

Its not doing it at the moment, but I'm not sure exactly what triggers it and expect it to happen again.

Last time it happened I was browsing Amazon. Hitting Ctrl-Shift-I only makes is turn off until start scrolling again, etc.

I don't think its virus related, because I use Norton 360, and Task manager "Performance Tab" show the computer is generally very mellow.

Please help, as I love Firefox, but this problem can drive one crazy.

My Firefox is the most recent version 126. I am having trouble with pop-ups being blocked. I have added the website to the pop-up exception list. When I go to the site, it shows me the little icon showing I have added exceptions for this site. However; the pop-up still gets blocked.

The site is: https://www.foxit.com/ I try clicking the Log In drop down then Foxit Account. Before this would pop-up the log in screen for the site but since version 125, it does not. I just updated to version 126 to see if that resolved it before creating this post but it didn't. Thus I am here trying to get help.

I have a PC that cannot access the Internet. Using a thumb drive, I was going to download Firefox then load it onto the PC. Do you think this will work and if so, how do I put Firefox on the thumb drive (be specific - step by step). Thank you

I Can no longer have a direct access to my SFR mailbox and my Gmail. I must reauthentify myself each Time ID and password. I called SFR technical services, they told me they couldn't do anything. Firefox is an old browser, I should try to log myself with edge or chrome. How Can I continue have a direct access to my mail boxes with firefox?

There are some pop-ups I cannot stop.

Naturally, I have clicked “stop pop-ups” in the Privacy and Security section of Firefox Settings. That has worked but not quite. I keep getting some “via l-itineraire.com”. That’s a website I used during a recent holiday in France.

So I installed Block Site.

That has an option called “Block a new host name”. I entered “l-itineraire.com.” and clicked Add. This has had no effect. The pop-ups still arrive from them.

I know there’s an option to open the website and get into the Firefox toolbar, but that’s defeated me. Yes I managed to get to click Menu, but not beyond. Anyway, that should not be necessary – after all I’ve clicked no pop-ups.

once every week or two, private browsing shows up in history. it is not cleared when i close all private windows. the rest of the time it works as it's supposed to. any suggestions are welcome. thank you. running 125.0.3 on mac ventura 13.6.6

I'm considering switching to Firefox for my primary browser BUT once I log in to AOL to check my mail, the print is tiny and cut off top and bottom of each letter. This is not a new problem, but I'm using Firefox more now and still have to use another browser OR another device to read my email. I am attaching a screen capture of what it looks like.

Hi, not sure the best place to ask, but it's been an ongoing issue since 2022. I kind of believe a shift in Intel has caused some of these issues, but probably not important (and I've already contacted them and did not get anywhere) at the moment.

Essentially, having Firefox running crashes the Intel UHD Graphics system, typically it is the UHD 620, but I believe I have some systems with a UHD 630. On Windows, I get a blank screen for 1.5 seconds, on macOS it crashes the entire Mac. I...I have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact I'm the only one with the issue and has occurred on multiple computers over a period of 18 months. The systems in question include the following:

Dell Optiplex 5040 MT - Fixed by putting a GTX 1650 in its 16x slot. Dell Optiplex 5060 MFF Dell Latitude 7290 Dell Latitude 7490 MSI GF63 (9th generation revision) MacBook Air 2020 w/ Intel i3 under macOS.

The thing is, with the exception of the MacBook, PCs don't report any issues apart from a "Hardware Failure" within the Reliability Monitor and the aforementioned screen shutoff. With World of Warcraft I'm able to reproduce the issue consistently under both DX11 and DX9, but Firefox not so much. I do see it occurring only on YouTube videos on the MacBook and is more common to occur on PC, but I have also had it happen on normal browsing.

I can turn off hardware acceleration and have done so, but I do wonder how much of an impact it will make on power efficiency on say, battery power. Would be something that should be fixed and I would like to put effort into getting it resolved, but I have no idea where to start. All drivers are up to date, Intel Boost is disabled (and I wonder if having it set as so causes this, though the MSI has no such BIOS setting) and it only occurs on Windows PCs with Windows 11.
