macOS. Firefox is running. I enter: open -a Firefox --args -private-window "https://apple.com" (in Terminal or Automator) which I believe should open apple.com in a new private window, but although the focus change to the already open Firefox window, a new private window does not open. It does work (apple.com opens in a new private window) if Firefox is not already running, but I thought the -private-window argument is supposed to open a new private window whether Firefox is already running or not. What have I got wrong?

As you can see in the title, Firefox crashes immediately opening, though sometimes it works for a few seconds. I have figured out that it works when I create a windows profile without any association to my Microsoft account, it does actually work, but as soon as I add the Microsoft account to the profile, it crashes. This also happens with Opera GX, but not Chrome.

I can no longer choose where downloads go. I have tried "always ask" but I am getting no where. One post said open the three bars on the right an look for option. NO luck.

Which Mozilla version is the latest which includes ((update options )) I still use windows 7 32 bit My system is not compatible for 10 The new version makes trouble with window 7, so I uninstalled It goes crashing when opens I read many topics using old version does not solve the problem For me it solves When I install new version ( 90 or newer ) it shows black screen when opens But with old versions, it does not show --- Now I tried 75 it contains option but the update still runs though I have chosen Check for updates but let you choose to install them

I currently installed firefox but when I try to open it it shows a missing of the profile which I searched and the article said to make another profile by using window + r and I did but when I click on start firefox it shows an unexpected error prevented you to save changes and I searched abt this but this has no answer that is in my favour so can you help it would be great

A subscription service I purchased (Kine Mania TV) has on several occasions gone to a porn site. I have enjoyed many hours of wholesome TV series and movies at Kine Mania TV - but HATE it when smut shows up instead! Please advise - this is scary stuff for an old lady. something new-- I can't sign in to my att account like I always have. I can still log in on older win 7 and android devices. Only this win10 desktop is now having problems today. Any suggestions?

I use Kaspersky for my internet security. I choose the 'Safe Money' option for many other sites...but cannot connect sign on with my bank. Because the page always comes up asking for me to choose a browser. I down load and update the firefox site. This does nothing except giving me multiple firefox updates! What is happening and how can I stop having this issue pop up? The other sites on 'Safe Money' are not banking sites, but still need security. Do I have to change browsers? with firefox, drag and drop for attachments is not working using macOS High sierra, and outlook emails. It works ok in Chrome but I dont want to change over. I deleted cache and cookies and restarted. It worked ok for a while but stopped working agaiin.

I went into setting and Firefox is not on the list of defaults. I think the issue is that I downloaded Firefox through the website and not the MS app store. Because when I open the "Look for the app in Microsoft Store" tab on the default list, it opens the store and lets me download Firefox again. I wouldn't mind doing this but it downloads it to my C drive and I need it on my F drive because my C drive is my SSD and is used for only Windows and because Windows keep getting bigger and bigger, I am running out of storage on it. When I try to move the newly downloaded Firefox to my F drove through the "Apps & Features" menu where you can uninstall apps. It tells me Firefox can't be moved. So there seems to be a communication error between windows and the none app store download.

The pics show the default option first with Firefox downloaded from the web not being there (setting 1), then Firefox being there (setting 3), and last the failure to move the files to the F drive (setting 2). Any help would be great. Thanks.

Firefox stopped working on me recently, so I had to close it through Task Manager and then reload all my tabs.

However, istead of Firefox doing this it 'refreshed', now all my tabs are gone, and worse still all my saved passwords.

I rely on Firefox remembering these passwords as I can't, how do I get them back? My life is toast without them.

Please help, I need to talk to someone on how to get them back.

Crashes freeze ups Tired of them all day every day. Cache fills up and computer shuts down. 24 Firefox processes ,,, 37 Firefox processes and every one of them is storing history and cookies till the system stops.. Performance section? Worthless. Does not matter what is checked or unchecked,, and NEVER has there appeared a box to choose a limit of 6 or 8 processes.. WTF

ABC (Australia) https://iview.abc.net.au/ No longer plays video. It does on other browsers. I've followed FF advice ive come across by disabeling extentions/add ons, restarted FF but no luck. Also, I've started in safe mode. Also no luck.
