Once again the failure of Firefox to work with comment sections of many websites has reared its head in the latest update of Firefox. I'm using Windows 11 with latest updates. This occurred suddenly in the middle of commenting. Other web browser are OK. These constant recurring problems with Firefox are getting tiresome and although I like the browser and am comfortable using it, I'm seriously considering abandoning it for these annoyances.

Sites such as Chatroulette just show a black screen rather than video. Seemingly the issue is sites that allow Video chatting don't show any video incoming from other users. Stranger still, is that it is still able to access my camera so I can see my feed, but If i click to watch my feed, that is also just a black screen. Not sure if it is a plug in, I don't get any pop-ups asking for permissions or access.

Example: If I start typing in the address bar and type the letter a... amazon.com comes up since I frequent there a lot. But, if I start typing the name of my bank nothing comes up in the address bar. I always have to type it out.

Once I pull up firefox, I NEVER get a search window to start my search. The only 1 that shows at the bottom is chrome? I do get the jump back in, but nothing to start a new one.

Firefox is up to date. All other sites work. Everything worked fine when i went to sleep, trying to do some research on youtube right now and all I get is the error message.

Whenever I watch any media that has closed captions/subtitles, if the word "god" or "jesus" comes up it automatically mutes audio for a brief duration. It's not something I want to have on. it also censored the word by replacing the text with asterisks.

how to permanently keep the warning about closing multiple tabs?

Every so often, probably due to an unseen update, when I press the red X at the top of of a page where multiple tabs are open, to see how many tabs are open, they disappear, and the preference option to not close multiple tabs without warning (which says the # of tabs open), has to be turned back on.

When I start Firefox on Ubuntu under Wayland, Firefox behaves as if both shift keys just stopped working. In any text field pressing either Shift and any character inputs nothing, e.g. Shift+A inputs nothing instead of "A".

This only happens in Firefox, not in any other app that I checked (terminal, Chrome). It also doesn't happen if I start Firefox in a Xorg session.

Pasting such characters *does* work, e.g. I can paste "about:support" in the URL bar but not type it (":" requires shift).

This also happens when I start Firefox in troubleshooting mode.

What are the next steps in troubleshooting this?

Hi everyone, I've recently reinstalled Firefox on two new computers and have had the same problem for each: My extension/add-on icons have disappeared from my toolbar. I've tried adding them back, but they don't appear in the options (see screenshot 1 & 2). My navigation is not set on "always private". Here's what I've done so far: 1. Checked if others have had my problem. 2. Uninstalled and reinstalled all my add-ons. 3. Set the view settings to default. 4. Reinstall Firefox. I'm having the same problem on both computers. Thanks in advance!

Clearing the cache and opening in troubleshoot mode did not help, hence repeated question. All attachments open in Edge and Chrome but I like Firefox so very like to fix the problem. Many thanks for help on this

I've disabled this for my google account. So when I search from google.com this behavior doesn't happen. But when I type anything into my address bar on Firefox to search, the first suggestions are from my search history.

I don't want to delete my search history.

I often use my search history to find specific things that I need, but didn't bookmark at the time. I need my search history to be saved. I just don't want to automatically receive suggestions based on it.

Is there any way to turn this off? Even with an extension or something?

Hello there, There is no content on the website. https://testdepurete.info/ Although you see the icon at the top left, you cannot access the site. Would you be able to tell me why the website doesn't load correctly in Brave?

Scrolling in Firefox is causing any webpage to scroll many lines at once with a single click, and it seems to be exclusively happening to Firefox, as every other application scrolls normally. I have tried searching here and elsewhere for a solution, and I have tried to change about:config settings based on the recommendations I could find to no avail. I have also tried to refresh Firefox and have used Troubleshoot Mode, but those too have not worked. I have no clue as to what could have caused this, as I have not been messing with any settings prior to this.

Hello, I am using Firefox (105.0.3) on a Macbook Pro Mac OS 12.6 as a default browser. Every time I click on a link two firefox windows always open up. I can't find anywhere why that issue keeps popping up because I've used firefox nightly and haven't had that issue at all. Any help would be appreciated!

I've been using the same browser on my desktop computer for like 10 years.

Obviously after one of the updates I couldn't find any of my saved logins/passwords etc. There were a ton of updates over the years but I've never experienced something like this. I can't log in to any website where I had account as all of my data has been wiped out somehow. I just want to say that I'm the only one using this computer, and there is no risk that someone cleared that without my knowledge.

Is there a help for me? This is very frustrating and disappointing.
