I have a new Mozilla (FireFox) account and keep getting emails that say I need to confirm it. They include a button to do so but I'm not clicking it unless I get better information from you. Please help. The email swears my account will be deleted if I don't confirm it. What do I do?

How can I restore a previous theme? I had a "colorfore" theme that Mozilla offered a few years ago set up in Firefox. It was perfect! I could see everything clearly with my aging eyesight.Then one of my synced computers needed a new Linux OS installation so I signed out of sync on that machine. Installed the new OS. When I started Firefox the first time I signed into sync. I got my history, bookmarks and bookmark bar, but no custom colors. Now my computer at work has its colors reset to the out of box colors too. I have lost the colorfore colors I have been using for several years now. How can I get the colorfore colors back? i cannot print any web page from Firefox. The print option only offers me the option to save as PDF. Firefox is not detecting either my Brother laser printer or my Epson inkjet printer. if i use the print using system dialogue option fire fox shows a printer screen which has a simple entry of line prntr. If that is selected nothing at all happens. Clearly Firefox cannot detect my printers. If I save the web pages to a PDF file then open that file I can then get the normal system printing options and print the page. But all that does is clutter up my file system with files I will only ever use once. This proves the problem is clearly in Firefox and in its inability to detect system printers. I have tried all the suggestions from the help screens to no avail. Is there any other means of sorting this print problem.

I'm using Firefox on Manjaro. Usually I'm using dolphin but I've installed nemo too for having a second option if dolphin doesn't work. But after installing nemo the file management software when opening the folder where the file downloaded switched to dolphin. Where can I change it back to dolphin?

I try to install Firefox directly from the Mozilla repository.

For that, I read the article "Install Firefox on Linux" and followed the install instructions in first chapter "Debian-based distributions" step-by-step. (article https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux)

Unfortunately, with every attempt to install Firefox, the Firefox LinuxMint (Ubundu) package will be still installed. The command to priorise the Mozilla repository seems to have no influenace.

How can I prevent/avoid using the LinuxMint/Ubundu repository? I wan't to install and update Firefox direct from Mozilla source.

I'm using Linux Mint 22.1 Xia base (Ubuntu 24.04 noble)

I signed onto my parents computer that was assigned to a school district and now everytime I open firefox on any of my devices their website keeps popping up. I've signed out of their computer and have tried deleting and reopening my account, and nothing seems to work.

I have a problem with Firefox on Linux, doesn't seem to be distro specific as I've tried Manjaro/Ubuntu/Neon, when using KDE in that when listening to music on YouTube music my computer will go to sleep after the elected time. On KDE you can see which applications are preventing sleep and/or screen lock, other applications are listed here but not Firefox.

When playing a video everything works as expected.

I would investigate myself, but I don't know where to start so if someone can point me in the right direction or offer any insights?

Currently using: KDE Neon KDE 6.0 Kernel 6.5.0-21 Wayland

Is it possible to make a donation to Mozilla without providing so much personal information? I got a message on Firefox today asking for a donation, but when I tried to do that, I was asked for my home address. It's a general rule of internet marketing that people who use the internet would rather do anything than pay for something, so it's bad psychology to impose unnecessary conditions when you're asking for a donation. I don't have to provide my home address when I make donations to other organisations, so why does Mozilla need my home address? I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask this question, but I can't find anywhere else to ask it!

Scrolling in Firefox is causing any webpage to scroll many lines at once with a single click, and it seems to be exclusively happening to Firefox, as every other application scrolls normally. I have tried searching here and elsewhere for a solution, and I have tried to change about:config settings based on the recommendations I could find to no avail. I have also tried to refresh Firefox and have used Troubleshoot Mode, but those too have not worked. I have no clue as to what could have caused this, as I have not been messing with any settings prior to this.

When I opened Firefox[^1] today I was greeted with a "Donate to Mozilla Foundation" page open, with the message:

Does this message mean that Donations to the Mozilla Foundation now fund Firefox development? As I understand it, previously donations were not allowed to be used by the Mozilla Corporation, which actually develops Firefox. I'd love to donate to fund Firefox development, as I feel it is a critically important open source project.

Just like the Android version of Firefox does! It opens the new tab(s), but load each tab at visit!

Desktop Firefox also does this at [History / Restore Previous Session]. All the previously opened tabs are opened again, but each of them only loads at visit.

This is I would like to have as default behaviour with newly opened tab(s) in Firefox. > Tab opens. > It hasn't loaded yet! > At visit it loads the content.

PS: I tried, but didn't work: > about:config _ browser.sessionstore.restore*demand (switch) > Addon _ LoadTabOnSelect 3 (But it worked weirdly.)

Tab detachment was working fine until updating to Firefox 126. Now the tabs cannot be moved, detached or dragged to another window.

In about:config, browser.tabs.allowTabDetach is set to true

Why Firefox could respond with VP8 to the H264 request?

I hover over bookmark folder, they expand, and the links the folder contains work. (Or) now 80 percent of the time, I hover over the bookmark folder, they don't expand, so I click on the folder to expand it, and 90 percent of the time, the links in the folder do nothing when clicked on. They won't even get highlighted, (selected) I restart firefox, and all works again, for about 10 seconds, and problem occurs again. It goes without saying it gets real frustrating restarting firefox over and over and over again to use another bookmark. I've never experienced this before. This only happens for me on firefox for Linux Mint 22.1. Firefox on windows 11 does not exhibit this problem. Please help, thanks. Cheers...

I just want to stop a piece of my own history from being shown on "Firefox Suggestion", which was made with a firefox browser on my previous device and is relatively private.(I know I can do this by modifying "Search Suggestions->Show search suggestions ahead of browsing history in address bar results", but I would like to preserve the function itself). That device is permanently unapproachable, and so is that browser. I tried "Clear recent history -> Everything", but it didn't work as expected and that is still shown. I think clear all my history(not only those made on this currently used device) may help, how can I do it?

I have an add-on ad blocker for youtube and have never gotten ads. This afternoon that stopped. I get ads with every video I click and there is no 'skip ad' on the screen. I added another top rated youtube add blocker, quit firefox and then opened it again. Before, if I clicked a video it started an ad and I could go back and then hit the video again, but now that doesn't work, but if I select to show the video in a new tab, there are no ads in that tab. What can I do to make the ads stop like they used to and never appear? Yes and my OS is Ubuntu 22.04
