Hi,

I often search with the adress bar without thinking, and when searching 'maps' I accidentally hit 'yes' on the little drop down that says 'did you mean...' with the url. Now every time I try to search 'maps' in the address bar unless I specifically press the down key or use @g (or @ddg etc) I am taken to a url I have no use for. How do I disable this default? I spent ages trawling through settings to try to find where to turn this off.

Before the recent 1-2 updates, pdfs,pictures and .torrent meta files used to get saved in temp folder which I LOVED very much. Recently these are getting save in my download folder instead of saving in the temp folder.

I changed this setting to allows ask. Still the files are getting saved in the download folder after opening.

Please assist me to resolve this issue. Thanks.

Time is passing, new versions releasing, but problem are same. Firefox 71 had a good looking colored cleartype. Fonts was clear and pretty. And new versions have a monochromatic cleartype, which makes fonts to look like sh1t. How to take back a colored cleartype? Just tell me, how. I tried many gfx.font_rendering.cleartype_params, but nothing is working.

How to remove built-in add-ons, firefox screenshots, picture in picture, duckduckgo, ozon.ru , price.ru? So that they don't hang in the task manager.

I regularly use the PrintFriendly website to create and download PDFs. In the past, I have always been able to choose where I download the files to on my Windows 10 PC. Recently, I have been unable to do so -- the files are always downloaded to the Downloads folder. I have set my browser to "Always ask" (see picture), but that doesn't make any difference. Is there something else that I need to do? Thank you!

Longtime Firefox user, thanks for a great browser! Since about version 68 or 67 my font size on the toolbar and the menu bar and the bookmark list the fonts have become tiny. Maybe 6 point. I can barely read them. I set default zoom to 110% for all pages and set text size at 20pts. But the tabs, menu bar and bookmarks are all so tiny. How do I get them larger? I'd be happy with 12pt type font. Thanks for any help, squintingly yours idaveusa

I have a user who runs SRS/Crystal Reports on their Windows 11 Lenovo laptop, but every time we go to the website where a Java-enabled pop-up window for viewing spreadsheets is supposed to load we keep getting a "A plugin is required to play this content" error message, but no option to install/approve the running of Javascript.

I have downloaded and installed the JRE and JDK on the endpoint device, but still no luck getting Firefox to load it. I am running the 32-bit version of the web browser, not 64-bit, so I am kind of stumped about how to proceed from here.

Is there a place I can manually download/install these Java plug-ins?

When I right click Firefox in my taskbar I have a list of "recent" links show up. I have turned this off in about:config but they still show up. Any suggestions?

so yeah I live with bad internet and so i see the "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site." quite a lot and up an till today it was aways in a dark mode

But now its in a light mode a bunning my eyes help

I want Firefox to save files without asking. I need it for E2E test automation, recentyl something has to change in update because even in GUI I don't see an option to remember my choice. In case of E2E framework I had a setting which was working but now stopped to work:

How to do it today?

I need to constantly jump between google search and wikipedia and i hate using the mouse. Normaly when you click the url bar you can type "@wikipedia" or "@google" to change the search engine to wiki, while typing anything else will prompt a google search. BUT when you use the shortcut "ctrl + e" or "ctrl + k" a box appears in front of the url bar with "Google", just like it would whe you typed "@google". This actually blocks "@wikipedia" from being registered making the whole feature almost useless and forcing me to invent workarounds to things that should be VERY simple in a browser. Any ideas how to fix this?

Have latest version of Firefox Browser on my macbook. Used to be when I "Bookmark Current Tab" I could select where that bookmark was saved but not just goes into toolbox. How can I change that so once again I can save to bookmark folder I want?

The background on the homepage link shortcut boxes keeps reverting to black and text underneath to white on my off-white background when a new version loads. I've used Colors to customize the look of my firefox but can't find any control for that. Once a new version kept the boxes white and the text black but now it's back to black again. Where is the control to fix this?
