Website: https://www.londonpicturearchive.org.uk/view-item?i=119810&WINID=1764158938344 (for example) On Safari I see there is a message overlay from the website saying "press the command key to zoom the image". On Firefox, this message is not displayed, and the website is greyed out.

I have looked at all my settings: I can't see anything wrong. Any ideas?

When I close a private browsing session and open it again, the given permissions for cross-site cookies are still there and Google remembers my last search results from the last private session (in the suggestions below the search box)!?

A couple of months ago, I suddenly lost all my saved bookmarks, plus the ones on my toolbar. Strange thing is, all the folders and sub-folders I created are still there, they're just all empty.

Can I get them back somehow? I've been collecting them for years so can't replace them all!

When going to sites such as nbcnews.com/now or https://toronto.ctvnews.ca, A/V sync is off by about a second.

This appears to be due to the volume being muted when video playback starts. Unpausing the video leads to the video freezing for a very brief moment, then the A/V sync is clearly incorrect.

This can be replicated on YouTube by loading a video, muting the video (if not muted already), refreshing the page (F5), allowing the video to play, then unmuting the video. The sync will be incorrect.

If the audio is unmuted when the video play back starts, this does not appear to happen.

Following this article has no impact: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/performance-settings, nor does setting media.hardware-video-decoding.enabled to false.

This issue does not occur on Microsoft Edge.

Hello - I keep searching for various fixes to this, but nothing seems to work. I have the latest version of firefox. Macbook user. Catalina 10.15 I find that with almost any website that I'm trying to log into, or enter a credit card and other information, the browser does not show these items, pull downs, forms to fill in etc. I'll go thru a whole process of something, and will be directed to click a box or some such that just isnt there. So I move over to Safari, and the entire page loads. I've adjusted the privacy, cleared cache etc. It's like I'm on an ancient browser.

Any help welcome.

Everytime I try to open a tab on my Firefox window, it loads for a second before a blank screen saying that my tab has crashed. The only times I can open a new tab is on a private window.

Firefox is the default browser on my MAC… used it for years, no problems.

Lately, when I get my daily email from The Washington Post, and I click on a link to an article, Firefox (1) shows me the lead picture as a blur and (2) in a short time, blanks the window.

When I click on “reload,” the article comes back (at the beginning of the piece) with the same fuzzy picture and again, within a minute, blanks the window.

If I use the same links, from the WashPost article, and use Safari, the pictures are clear and the article doesn’t disappear.

I don’t know if it’s related, but when I’m playing a game from the AARP website, and it’s time for a commercial, the window goes blank and I have to reload … which brings up my game where I left off.

I don’t know if it’s relevant, but I have “AdBlock Plus” and “AdBlocker Ultimate.”

Any thoughts ???

I have my Firefox Firefox Privacy & Security History settings set to 'Always Use Private Browsing Mode.' Yet every time I open Firefox and visit the History tab, 'Recently Closed Tabs' shows a history of the websites I've visited. How do I disable this feature?

macOS 15.6 Firefox 141.0.3 - my preferred browser

I've seen a number of posts regarding this problem since the Firefox 141 update. I've tried a number of suggestions, although my problem seems slightly different.

I can apparently login to reddit OK but when I try to access a subreddit thread, a warning comes up - see image.

I have cleared Firefox site data, cookies, cached files, etc - problem remains.

I have restarted Firefox in Troubleshooting mode - problem remains, so not an extension.

However, https://old.reddit.com has no problems with Firefox, lets me access threads, etc and comment.

No problems accessing reddit with Safari or DuckDuckGo browser.

If I search "lemmy", I want to see that in the URL instead of the full search URL: https://www.google.com/search?q=lemmy. It makes it easier to copy the search query. If the query has spaces than they're written with +s in the URL. I remember months ago this ended up being the default even for pre-existing Firefox profiles, but then it was changed back.

Thru Firefox, I use Tineye to find related photos - I use it all the time, it's been great - I always use a VPN and have never had problems until now (as of yesterday). Now it won't search, a verify you're human window comes up, and I have to keep clicking squares, which I do - but then it says to allow cookies and start over. Well I don't want to allow cookies (I assume it's one of the options I have thru Firefox to block cookies), and I can't find where to allow cookies even if I did (I went to Firefox preferences etc) and I don't want to disable my VPN. Maybe I should mention that I just added or started a Mozilla account, as I have had immense trouble with my aol emails, and am trying to move everything over to a gmail account. My sign in to Firefox was the aol email, and I had to (try, I thought I did it) add another account, which I think I did successfully. So it was right after that, that all this started. Help please! Firefox has been crashing constantly for a few days now. Every time I start the program, it starts using more and more GB of RAM until it crashes at over 100 GB. I have already deleted and reinstalled the program and cannot explain why it is using so much memory. Can anyone help me?

I have been using Firefox for many years and I have never had problems, until now, out of nowhere Firefox closes and the little window opens that the report is being sent to Firefox, but I can no longer restart or open Firefox, until I reset the computer, This can happen one, two, three and even four times a day, making it very uncomfortable to reset the computer.

I have already tried many ways to solve the problem, from completely uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it, I use very few extensions, I already disabled WebGL and also disabled hardware acceleration, nothing has worked, when Firefox closes, I cannot open Firefox Developer either and That browser was not even open at the time of the failure with Firefox.

Hi friends. We have had some recent power outages when everything was back up running my youtube screen only shows the video but everything else is white. I will try to attach a screenshot.

I am running an iMac with system Sonoma 14.4.1 installed.

I have used Firefox for over 10 years with no problems.

Myself and a colleague who both use Firefox on Mac are experiencing the exact same issues.

1. Table header cells don't show their text, unless we specify a font for the table

I tried to put an example of the HTML here but it was rendered as a table by this page. I'll add some images of the code instead to show it.

In Firefox the Header cells are not visible, but in Chrome the text appears correctly.

If we add CSS like...

<style> table { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; } </style>

...in the header then the missing text in the THs appears.

2. Other font issues

The Wave accessibility extension has text that doesn't appear and throw errors like this in the console...

These only occur on Firefox on our Macs. Fine on PC and other browsers on the Macs.

We tried a whole series of tweaks to settings to try fix this.

I have tried resetting Firefox and doing a fresh install but nothing fixes either issue. Are these known issues with recent Firefox releases on Mac?

As of a few days ago whenever I start Firefox the window appears with the Bookmarks sidebar panel already opened. I click the "X" on the sidebar and it will close - until the next time I start Firefox. If I choose Menu->View->Sidebar->Bookmarks and uncheck it the panel will close - until the next time I start Firefox. No matter how the Bookmarks sidebar is closed, it will always reappear when Firefox is restarted. Even if I switch to some other sidebar, Bookmarks will replace it on startup.

I've searched about:config and found no setting which seems to control sidebar behavior on startup.

I assume this is the result of some recent update. Is there no longer a way to permanently disable the Bookmarks sidebar?

Need userchrome.css content for highlighting background color of bookmarks in dropdown.

Can you someone provide me with this userchrome.css snippet to high bookmarks with background color in URL dropdown box?
