On 112, I had my css set up to make the status bar hidden and only show the url path when I moused over it in the lower left corner of the window. It also cut itself short to only the length of the url similar to the www.wikipedia.org box in the attached picture. After upgrading to 113, my browser has this black bar at the bottom. When I cleared out my css file, urls would show up in the bar when I moused over them. I've tried a few different css fixes but none of them will get it back to how I had it working in 112. The picture attached is what I'm getting in 113 right now with the css below. the black bar below the mouse over url goes all the way across the window and is always visible. Here is my current css file:

Hi, I know I'm just missing something basic here, but coming from the Chrome world I'm having a tough time with the bookmarks. I am accustomed to seeing all of my bookmark folders when I select the arrows at the end of my bookmarks toolbar. In Firefox I don't see that. I can see those folders under the bookmarks toolbar in the bookmark manager, but I would love to just be able to click on the arrows on the end of the bookmarks toolbar and have them drop down just like they did in Chrome. Do I have it all wrong? Do I always have to have my bookmark manager open to be able to bounce from bookmark to bookmark? Thanks in advance for any help.

I have always read downloaded .pdf files in Acrobat. I inadvertently changed the setting to "Open in Firefox" (I got a prompt and clicked it without intending to). How do I get Firefox to abide by my preference setting?

I'm on the ESR and just updated from 112.0.2 to 113.0.1. I had text rather than icons displayed on my toolbar. Now the text has vanished and I can't find a way to get text OR icons back. I have a disabled extension Classic Theme Restorer installed, but I thought it was already disabled long ago. In the Customize Toolbar dialog, the unused icons are displayed with text labels. When I drag one to the toolbar, it turns invisible like all the rest.

Hello everyone.

I've been using Firefox for quite a few years now and I'm used to keep my pinned tabs open after closing and then opening a Firefox windows.

Yesterday I noticed that after closing the navigator with the "X" in the tool bar menu, as I usually do, the pinned tabs are not "recovered" when opening again.

This happened randomly without configuration changes involved and drivers/firefox are updated to the last version available.

Moreover, I've tested the same in my notebook and it works just fine, as it keeps the tabs open when a new window is open.

Is there any troubleshooting for this or do you have any idea what could have caused this to happen?

Let me know if you need any additional info. Thanks in advance!

I'm using Firefox 113.0.2. I want to export my logins and passwords, but when I click the 'export' option, a Windows Security window opens asking for my Windows login. I don't have a Windows login set (no one else has access to my PC).

According to Firefox's own info, if you don't have a Windows password, the dialog asking for one shouldn't pop up.

I can't get past this and I've googled everything in sight. Does anyone else have a solution to this?

Thank you! Averill

High memory and cpu usage for just opening the browser

I been having problems with firefox using up most of my cpu while browsing some websites and it doesn't even load as fast as before. This has been happening for a few days now. Prior to this, firefox was fine and loading pretty quick, but these last few days have been painful.

Thinking that was a small bug, i restarted my computer. Before opening the firefox again, I opened up task manager to check how much resources will the browser be using. Before that usage would be normal and not even close to high, but opening firefox and waiting a few seconds to let the home window appear, the task manager showed that it was using all of it still.

I browsed some other help questions on this website and disabled "Use recommended performance settings", because that was one of the solutions on one of the relevant questions. But even that didn't do reduce resource usage either. Is there any way to fix this or will I have to suck it up and suffer with slow loading?

Hello, Today, when I first open Mozilla I noticed that I have problems with fullscreen mode. When I use fullscreen (f.g. on YouTube, but it's with all clips in other pages too) I can see white borders (on the left, right and at the bottom). I checked on other browser (Chroma) and I don't have this problem there. Can this problem be connected with new update? Or something just broke and I should re-install?
