The google search bar on the homepage doesn't work, just does an infinite load, the same with google.com. The extensions I have are AVG Online Security, Malwarebytes, and AVG Anti-Tracking. The version is the latest version 116.0.1

I am frequently needing to clear the Cached web content, when doing development work on a website. I always need to remember to remove the check mark from the Cookies box. However, I sometimes forget and loose dozens of log-in cookies and need to reset them, which is a big pain.

I was unable to find anything in the Firefox Advance Configuration settings. In Chromium and Chrome browsers, only the Cached images and files box is set with a check mark. If I cannot change the default for Cookies, this is reason enough for me to switch browsers, despite using Firefox for many years.

I can no longer 'Select all' of a simple html table displayed in the browser. The header lines won't select no matter what I try. The browser only allows the body lines to be selected, and subsequently copyied.

Various tasks have no effect , eg entering 'Duolingo.com' in the search field has no effect. Nothing is returned (screen remains blank - no messages). No problem with other search entries Also attempted link to my bank account similarly froze. End up by switching to Msoft Edge and completing my mission.

Any website. File explorer window doesn't even appear. It just crashes instantly.

I went to about:config and set my privacy.globalprivacycontrol values to all True. Yet, when I go https://globalprivacycontrol.org/, the website states that the GPC signal is not detected. Is any other action required? I am using Firefox v16.0.2 on a Mac computer running Ventura 13.5.

Since the FF update to 116.0.2 (64-bit) I am unable to save images from a very specific part of Ancestry.com. The database is the U.S., School Yearbooks, 1900-2016. All of the other image databases on Ancestry download without issue, and I am able to download the Yearbook images using Edge, so this appears to be a Firefox issue, especially as it began immediately following the most recent update.

The Yearbook images do differ from the others in that you are given an option to download two images as a zip file, or just a single image, but neither option results in the Save As dialogue appearing, and the images do not download anywhere.

This is a very strange issue, but maybe someone familiar with the most recent update could have some insight as to what has been changed that might have this impact.

Windows 11 Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.2134), if that makes any difference.

I am running Firefox on Mint Debian edition, I find the Youtube playback very low volume preset at about 1/4 of max, I try set it to the max but it returned the same after restart. I start FF in trouble shooting mode to disable theme and extension but didn't change thing, I remove and reinstall FF also did not help. I find something strange that, on the Help menu it said the updates disabled by system administrator but I did not do that, it is now on 116.0 64bits, any comment ?

Ever since the latest FF update each time I start/re-start FF I need to resignin to Dashlane. Honestly this hasn't happened in over 20 years. I haven't been able to find any similar reports. Has and/or can anyone explain why and hopefully provide an answer/work around? Thanks anyone/everyone.

Running Windows 11 on a Dell XPS 8930. Internet download speed is 100Mb/sec. With every update of Firefox it seems to take longer and longer to launch Firefox and load open windows and tabs. Several minutes of the back and forth ball on each tab. I can launch Chrome and its windows and tabs load almost immediately. What can I do to improve Firefox performance, short of abandoning it?

Basically If i search for a term in the address bar such as "Cheese" and press enter. Then it'll hang for awhile, and not do anything. But If I press enter again, it'll show the google page result for cheese.

Just wondering if anyone else has this issue, because chrome doesn't do this.

As you can see from the screenshot I don't have the new tab button (+), I've seen other users had the same problem in the past and the solution was restoring it from the customization page, but I can't find it there neither.

West Virginia has a website to download old death certificates, but they wont load. There's nothing but a blank page. I'm not positive that it's a Firefox problem, as a friend of mine who uses IE cant load them either, however, she CAN load them on her Tablet. As a historian, I really need to get these records for my research, so I was wondering if someone could go to the site and see of the records appear for them to be downloaded. I reinstall my windows 11 yesterday and since I cannot log in office. I go through the identification process, then once done I am back to the sign in page.

On chatGPT, when I go to login, I got the error message "We ran into an issue while signing you in, please take a break and try again soon."

Both websites were working fine last week. Also on the same computer I can access these websites using chrome. I tried to clear the cache and the cookies, disable extensions (ublock + cuberghotVPN), lowering security options like disable DNS security and disable tracking security, I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, but I can't fix this issue.

I am a bit out of ideas to try. Anything else I can do to get access back to these websites?

While Firefox is loading long, list-type pages, the scrollbar naturally expands in length. I was used to grabbing the scrollbar thumb, pulling it to the bottom (out of browser focus,) triggering further page-loading, and being able to repeat this by merely jiggling the mouse after each load.

Since the latest release (116.0.?), my mouse loses focus on the thumb on each reload, and I have to re-click on the thumb in order to drag down to force the next reload.

This has radically slowed down some of my regular web activities.

Is it something that can be (re)configured on my end?

when I view a stock quote in Google Finance If I move my Windows cursor into the price chart and move the chart cursor to a new date or time the tab will hang. I can no longer move the chart cursor. Reloading the tab will no longer work. I have to delete the tab and then use History to reload it. There is no problem as long as I keep the Windows cursor out of the stock chart area.

I am running Windows 11 up to date and Firefox 116.02. This has been a problem for a long time.

Prior to Firefox 116, I could have the normal scrollbar up and down buttons showing by making:

widget.non-native-theme.gtk.scrollbar.allow-buttons True

But now it seems to have no effect. This is under Linux/Mint/Cinnamon. Also, now long-pressing is doing smooth scrolling (I never want smooth scrolling anywhere) and can't find a way to stop that.

I have these set from before:

Seems like it is always a fight retaining usable scrollbars in Firefox that do not hide, do not change size on mouse-over, do not "warp" on left click, do warp on center click, have a thumb that shows page size, have a background that is not white, and are not microscopic in size! Just call me "traditional"  :)

Error code: SEC_ERROR_REVOKED_CERTIFICATE For Xfiniti.com email (Comcast). I saw many other questions to Mozilla on the same issue, so it's not those certificates. Edge connects just fine, as does Safari on my phone. Mozilla is the one with the problem, and you need to correct quickly, please. I need my email for many daily tasks, and it will be a lot easier to move to another browser than to another email.

I am developing an Angular App which uses a web-socket for backend communication. Interestingly, whenever I open the app in firefox (localhost:4200) the navigation bar breaks. I can't change the URL manually anymore, but every time I submit a changed URL it first redirects to the specified page but then immediately overwrites the navigation with the previous URL.

Example:

1. Call http://localhost:4200/
2. Sometimes the first additional navigation works, but afterwards all manual changes using the address bar will result in the behavior shown in the below image.

Steps I have taken to narrow down the error cause:

• I ruled out a device specific issue, since the problem occurs on both my machines.
• It is specific to firefox, since both edge and chrome work perfectly fine
• I don't think it is related to the angular router and the way I use it, since it would be quite weird that a website could force a user to stay on it.
• It is not related to the Angular CLI since the error also occurs when I deploy the angular with nginx.

I haven't found any hints on what might cause this behavior or even how to debug the network traffic further to maybe see what is causing the navigation override.
