I can't paste the link I get from Dropbox to connect FileLink for Dropbox into my settings. Why not? Even when I type the very long string by hand, it will not connect. What am I doing wrong? Is there a step I am missing? I really need this feature. Thanks- Pat Stoll

I am a heavy user of Firefox: daily & around 8 hours a day.

I usually use alt+shift+left/right-arrow to select a few words to the right / to the left. With the latest update (mandatory because this is a work-administered) laptop, the new behavior is that tabs are changed.

I want any solution to revert this to standard (past) behavior (preferably not an extension). Looked around in about:config but could not find anything to toggle on/off.

This is highly annoying as I've had this workflow for literally years. Even opening this ticket I encountered the issue more than 3 times as I was phrasing the message and had to delete & rewrite some stuff while also have other tabs open in the same Firefox window.

Would highly appreciate your timely response!

This last week one of my inboxes started to group my emails by Today, Last 7 days,Last 14 day and Older. I find no option to change that back to showing all the emails in date order like my other email accounts. The other posts on this topic that I can find are all for older versions that I don't see the commands for in my version.

I am using version 115.11.1 - 64 bit.

I have two identical instances of the Thunderbird 115.11.0 (64-bit) installed on Fedora 40 (two different boxes) They display Email preview differently (See attached pictures)

Anybody knows how to change that view? What settings?

ALT-SHIFT-LEFT has been 'select word backwards' for years, at least on macs. And so it was on FF too. Now they suddenly decided to re-map it to 'select left tab'. There was already a key for that - CMD-ALT-LEFT. Which also works for the right, whereas ALT-SHIFT-RIGHT does nothin

i use Firefox as my browser, but AT&T Yahoo is my internet provider so I use a Yahoo home page and Yahoo mail. Last week they did an update, now every time my laptop goes to sleep I have to re log into Myyahoo to get my mail and my home page. It also seems to log me out of some of my other forums and websites at the same time. I'm not sure how to fix this in settings so any help would be great.

Hi is there an add-on or can the settings of Thunderbird be changed so that when an email notification on macos comes through, it shows the first few words of an email. This is helpful for receiving verification codes. You can know it just by a glance at the notification rather than open the email.

At the moment it shows the email from and subject but not the first few words of the email body (unlike iOS).

When I forward an email, the body text is gray just like the signature text, not black. Replies and compositions all look fine. Any idea how to correct this issue?

I manage our browser configuration for our enterprise. We use group policy to restrict browser addons until they clear our internal security review.

I'm looking for a way to allow specific addons using group policy, while generally blocking everything else.

I've found the setting to enforce the installation of addons, but we'd like to avoid forcing every addon to install on every system as there would be overlap between things like password managers and such.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

I know it seems like a minor thing, but I run my browser in the left hand of my screen with other apps to the right, so that gaps pushes all my pinned tabs and browsing tabs over to the right losing valuable space. It's not there on my Windows machines where I run a similar layout.

Anything that I can do about it in about:config?

In previous versions I was able to open around 15-20 tabs before X button disappeared from them and I was no longer able to close them without activating them first.

Now this happens much earlier - only 10 tabs is enough on my 1080p 100% scaling desktop and 9 tabs on my 1080p 125% notebook.

X button is present if you have 10 tabs or less, but disappears with 11 tabs, when there is still plenty of space on tabs to click on X!

I compared it to brave and in brave you can still have 22 tabs opened before X button disappears!

Anyone has any method to force presence of x button? This is really annoying as I often have much tabs open and close only 2-3 of them. Now I have to open each one again to be able to close it.

For many years I have used the ability to set shortcuts to website on the Firefox home tab, using the method given at: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customize-items-on-firefox-new-tab-page#w_pin-unpin-or-remove-a-shortcut.

However, today, when I try to edit a shortcut link, I do not get the 3 dots menu by right clicking on a shortcut tile.

Is this a recent change, a bug, an issue with my installation (which has been stable for many years)?

How can I get back the functionality back?

I am using Firefox 127.0 (64 bit) on Windows (Windows 11, all up to date).

A while back the behavior of the ctrl+shift+t shortcut changed from reopening tab in the current window to reopening tab in the current window or reopening last closed window which for me and a lot of other people too made it worse. There's been a thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1421356 but it's been archived without a real solution. Is there now a way like a about:config toggle to bring back the old functionality? I really miss the old behavior.

I tried redownloading Firefox after I saw that i was unable to download any extenstions/add-ons. Anytime i try to download something from the firefox browser, the download fails or gets cancelled. I never changed any settings, how can i fix this?

I have just moved several email accounts from Cox email to Yahoo and all is well for send/receive. I was setting up my unified folder and the SENT folder for the accounts will not show up in the unified sent folder for any account. I am pretty sure it was there before the migration. It is selected to be in the unified and in the folder options I have the sent going to that email sent folder. It is not listed in the unified section or in the lower section under the email list..Suggestion?
