Running Windows Vista, updated to Forefox 3.0.7 but it will not run. Tried twice.

Was running Firefox 3.5... just fine. Updated to newest Firefox version and the first time it would not open and Internet Explorer stopped working as well. I then restored my computer and tried again.The second time I tried, Internet Explorer still worked, but Firefox would not open. The Task Manager shows that the Firefox process is running but no Firefox window opens. Had to closed the process to reinstall an older version of Firefox to be able to use it.
