Firefox updating without permission

I want to know why Firefox on my laptop just updated itself against my settings to ask first. I did not change the settings the settings were not changed by anybody else nobody else uses that computer but me. Firefox did it and I don't know how they did it or why but I need to know why and how because I lost all my passwords everything's gone. I need to know how I can get all my saved passwords back that were in my Firefox passwords manager. I would appreciate any help that anybody can give me and if you know what's the CEO of Firefox phone number is give that to me cuz I sure like to give him a call right now.

You mention a laptop, but are asking about this issue in the Firefox for Android forum. Are you using Firefox for Android on a Chromebook?
