Mac 10.15.7 and when I try downloading the latest FF update, first the system says the connection is not secure (it is ... https://) and this happens frequently then it give the old PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR. I'm assuming that duckduckgo on top of FF doesn't add to this mess and it's what I use. Ultimately, FF doesn't recognize the https:// ... why?

When I kept in sync with the latest FF, I was asked to download a new update about every six or less weeks. That's nuts. So, ultimately, I'd delete FF then download the latest version only to run into more issues. I stopped the ostensibly constant updates.

This doesn't happen elsewhere with duck on top of the browser. It's making me crazy enough to rarely use FF because I have to keep switching browsers and Waterfox is no better (or worse and I trashed that after deleting and installing the latest months ago). It happens with later versions of Macs, too, I just don't remember which version of the OSX.

Thanks for your help in advance.
