Firefox resetting itself back to default in new browser

For some reason, so far, twice I have opened Firefox only to discover everything reset to the default: addons gone, history gone, websites I have previously signed into gone as well. And I am not sure how this happens, and what to do to prevent it.

I have searched up help, but I feel I am unable to understand them.

Video help would be especially appreciated.
