Redirect Issues - eBay
I have used Firefox on all my devices for years and have always found it to be excellent. Recently (last 3 weeks or so) I receive the message "The page isn't redirecting properly" whenever I click on an item after a search.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled and also uninstalled then reinstalled the beta with no improvement (restarted phone after each step). I have no add-ins installed, other than the standard Cisco video codec. Phone is a Samsung S9 Plus running Android 8.0.0
When the "The page isn't redirecting properly" message appears, I can copy the URL, paste it onto another browser, and the item page is displayed.
I have to be missing something obvious, but have no idea what it might be.

Out of curiosity, I tried opening eBay on my bride's identical phone and saw the same symptom.
This is an issue with Ebay's site. They need to fix their redirect.

I just received an email from Mozilla Support that indicated that my problem was caused by eBay's redirect. I find it curious that I can copy the eBay URL that fails to redirect from Firefox, paste it into Chrome or Edge, and it redirects perfectly in both. Copying the same URL and pasting it back into a new tab in Firefox produces the original redirect failure notice.
Doesn't seem logical that eBay is causing redirect failures in only Firefox and allowing other browsers to work properly.
Any other thoughts?

No. Not resolved. Problem remains.
If there was some explanation of why I can open the same URL in multiple other browsers and all works perfectly, I might be able to consider this "Resolved".
All I have received to this point are assertions that: 1) It is Not Our Fault and 2) It is "Resolved"
Nope
Final comment - in the same browser, on the same phone, if I request the desktop site, the redirect works perfectly. So it seams that eBay's redirects are only wrong if you are mobile??
NOPE. This is a bug in the mobile browser.
The redirects are on the ebay side. They likely have two different teams working on the desktop site and the mobile site. The developers on the desktop site say that Firefox for Android is a mobile browser and the developers on the mobile site say that ALL Firefox is a desktop browser. Thus this creates a never ending loop of redirects.
