firefox (for Android) does not accept local ip addresses

Hi,

If I try to open a local IP-address like "192.168.1.3", or "http://192.168.1.3/index.html" Firefox completely ignores it and replaces the URL field with the last working web address.

The desktop version of Firefox (Linux) opens the above local IP's without any problem.
