locking as a dupe of /questions/1149397

I am trying to down Firefox to my Mac.

Running 10.9 Have plenty of memory etc. Not an issue.

When I download Firefox, it results in the Firefox 50.0.2.dmg mounter icon.

When I click on the icon it opens a Firefox drive icon. When I drag this icon to the applications folder, it creates an icon of the drive but does not install Firefox. I've tried reloading, re-booting, etc.

Very frustrating.
