In the language settings, "english" is onlyUS english. How about making European English available?
This isn't about spelling. US date formats etc. are confusing for European users.

Where did you purchase your device? You should be able to have a European version reflecting what you need.
It's a software problem, nothing to do with where I purchased the device (which was in Germany). I have Firefox OS 2.0.0.0 You can set it for most European languages, German, French, Italian, even Catalan, but not UK English. The US English language option has US date and time formats which we don't use in Europe.
I know that UK English is available on my phone (flame v2.1). I guess that language options are slowly being added, or that they depend on the exact build that you have.
Also, the UK language setting does change the date format, and v2.1 also allows a 24h clock.
