Sorry that you are having problems with Sync. Firefox Sync wasn't really intended to be a backup service to be used when re-formatting your PC, it is made to synchronize Firefox data between multiple devices.

Any problem with using the Sync Key / Recovery Key?

Did you reset your Sync Key? If so, your data was deleted from the Sync server.
