Selective (by folder) new message notifications
I use filters to sort my emails into different folders. I like the "new message" notifications, but some of my folders are less important than others and I would rather not be bothered with new message notifications from those folders. Is there any way to configure these notifications to only look at certain folders?

If you right-click a folder, Properties, there is a box 'When getting new messages...' that can be unchecked, so that new mail only appears when the folder is selected. Does that work?
It is currently unchecked (by default) on all my created folders, however I still get the notifications. Note that the Inbox does not have this option, but every other folder does have it. BTW I'm running 78.6.1. Thanks for pointing to this, it gives me something to look at in the documentation.
If a message arrives at the Inbox, there is no way to avoid the notification, even if the message is then moved to another folder with a filter. But unchecking the box for the folder should stop the new number appearing next to the folder name.
