For a while now FF has been trying to restore the last session everytime I try to relaunch the broswer. Since the last patch - 70.0 - the regular browser will not open pages when launching it just sits there stuck in handshaking mode. Only way I can use it now is in private mode.

Hello friend, Removing the tick from restore previous session will stop restoring the previous session.

But as websites are stuck in handshaking mode there might be other problems. Pleas check this to troubleshoot https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems

Yeah, I've done all that and none of it makes a difference. Even went into the INI file to disable the restore session thing and it still doesn't stop it from doing it. Thanks anyway. Maybe I'll just uninstall and reinstall and see if it works.

Hello @lecutter,

Could you please try @Yamama_sh 's solution by opening FireFox as administrator mode? I think that will give you a different result.

Thank you!

Hey,

Did you try clearing your cookies and cache . Or try running FF in admin mode <run as administrator> most of the time this fix these type of issues. You could also try uninstalling the base browser<FF> and reinstalling it but it might delete your bookmarks and browser history .

I recommend running it on ADMIN mode and if that doesn't work try the other methods.

                                              THANK YOU!
