can't update firefox on ASUS K007 with android 5.0.1 beyond 50.1.0

I am unable to update my version of firefox on my tablet. It is currently stuck @ version 50.1.0. When I go to check updates in Firefox it says non are available. If I go to the Google play store via the link in the email I received from the mozzila website I get the message: 'This app isn't compatible with your device anymore."

The tablet is an ASUS MEmo Pad 7 (ME572C) imternal model number k007. It is runnimg android version 5.0.1.

Firefox does install the latest version on my wife's similar ASUS ZenPad S 8.0 tablet, model running android 5.0.
