Where are my bookmarks?????
I upgraded to FF 39.0 for "security reasons" Now my bookmarks are microscopic after customizing.
Bookmarks are supposed to be huge, you know; LIKE IN A BOOK, THAT YOU HOLD IN YOUR HAND.
I had them on the bottom of the page but now they just disappeared even on the "bbokmark toolbar" I've had them there for YEARS; now there's nothing there.
I see there is a "sidebar" taking up 1/8th of the page ( and I'd hate to see how that affect video playback) I just can't handle having that massive intrusion screaming at me all the time. Yes, I could not use the sidebar, and I won't, but again microscopic size is useless to me.
Finally FF did not say ANYTHING about the changes that I could find that radically altered the setup. FF is about setting it the way I want, now corporate office insists. There's no way that this "update" was for "security reasons." I consider that to be a lie. It's happened too many times. I've lost a perfectly reasonable way of browsing for no apparent reason at all.

{ Ctrl + B } opens and closes the Bookmarks Sidebar, as it always had done. One change that was made many versions ago, is that if the browser is exited with the Sidebar open, it will be there when Firefox is launched the next time. Also, there is a toolbar button in the palette that allows the Sidebars to be toggles open and closes. That was changed around the time of Firefox 34-35-36, and was missing in Firefox 35 - only to reappear with new "inContent" type controls in Firefox 36.
Please provide screenshots of what you are referring to, especially where you have them on the "bottom of the page". That is not a location that Firefox uses for displaying bookmarks, so I wonder if you have an extension that made that modification? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-create-screenshot-my-problem and Please use Copy text to Clipboard to show us your Troubleshooting Information. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/use-troubleshooting-information-page-fix-firefox
As far as that happening after "customizing" Firefox, the places to start fixing that is the use the Restore Defaults button at the button of the Customize page and start all over again with customizing Firefox. Clearly a customization messed up the UI - there were no such changes done to bookmarks displays in Firefox 39, the UI changes were minimal. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customize-firefox-controls-buttons-and-toolbars
I can't show a screenshot because it's gone.
