Suddenly today FF 36.0.1 stopped playing some Youtube videos that do play on other browsers. First one I came across I thought little of it but quickly ran into several others: for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AclxTPrEBs

Going back to FF 35 did not help although the problem never happened when I had FF 35, just started today. I uninstalled and installed Nightly. Did not help.

With 36.0.1 I started in Safe Mode. Problem solved. Except when I go to isolate specific plug-in, deactivating them one at a time, does not help. Deactivating them all does not help. No point in using FF only in Safe Mode when other browsers work...

Been using FF for over a decade but I've wasted couple hours on this. Lost my saved sessions somehow in the uninstall/reinstall process.... I want to keep using FF, hope someone can fix this... but I'll have to use other browsers till someone can; thank you.

hi TerranceZ, safemode won't affect your plugins but it will disable your extensions - so it is the latter ones you'll have to take a look at and disable one by one to find out which one might be interfering here...

Possibly caused by "HTML5 Video Everywhere" as this message is a problem with the HTML5 media player and Firefox can't handle the available media file formats.
