when I go to Firefox-Mozilla my screen has a favicon in the center cant get rid of it. (google_favicon-32.pn)

I click on firefox icon , it loads and I expect the google home page to search, but instead the entire area is gray and and the favicon for google is dead center. (google_favicon-32.pn) tried numerous ways to delete/remove it, but it still appears. I have to open new window to get google search screen

What is the web address of that page? What are your settings on what page Firefox opens when it starts?

Press the <Alt> or <F10> key to bring up the tool bar. Then Tools > Options > General. Check the settings under Start Up.
