Windows 10 professional for workstations Firefox build 126.0

My browser auto updated today and after the refresh I found that the history under the address bar has been broken. It now displays only in part and over top of the address bar itself which as you can imagine is unusable. See image attached.

I entered troubleshoot mode and the problem went away. So I disabled all my extensions and addons, but the problem persists (when not in trouble shoot mode)

Any idea what could be causing this? It is hampering my ability to do my job.

Running Firefox 126.0, which Firefox' About link says is current. Dell laptop running (current) Win10 Pro.

As recently as last Wednesday (15 May 24), everything was normal. Since yesterday (16 May), on the Wall Street Journal site, after I have logged in, I no longer have access to articles' comment threads. The Show Conversation button shows 0 comments (which is erroneous), and when I click the button, it changes to Hide Conversation (which is normal), but nothing else happens--just white space and no comments or comment text entry field.

On Fox News, the comment thread doesn't display, and there's not even displayed a link to a comment thread. Until yesterday, the thread normally displayed, but required login to comment. Since yesterday, logging in changes nothing: the comment thread still doesn't display at all.

On X (nee Twitter), when I click the login icon, I get the usual login box--but it's solid black with only a rotating arrow signifying "loading." It never finishes loading. An added fillip: X, as recently as last Wednesday, displayed in its usual black text on a white background. Now it displays as white text on a black background. I can click on X links sent to me and get that particular X post to display, but I cannot log in.

When I go to those sites in Edge, everything behaves normally: I have access to comment threads, and I can log in to X. One exception: X displays as white text on a black background on Edge, also. This doesn't seem to be an X thing, though; on my wife's laptop (Firefox 126.0), running WIn11Pro, her X display is the "normal" black text on white background.

I haven't changed any settings in Firefox. I do have a couple of ad blockers, and I've turned those off, one at a time and both together; that had no effect.

How can I get things back to normal in Firefox?

Hi After the latest update, the address bar dissapears everytime I click on it to type in an address. It gets hidden behind previous addresses I visited. Completely unusable. I have no idea why it is so bad and how to fix, please help. Thanks

Firefox updated last night while my headphones were plugged in. Now I cannot get website audio through the headphones in Firefox. None of the solutions from help forums have worked. Audio settings seem fine and headphones work on other browsers.

Video is stuttering with latest update. This just started today, Ma7 17, 2024. I went to a different browser to confirm that it is firefox. This confirmed the issue. I checked the settings and I have selected everything as indicated in the help files. I tried turning off enhanced tracking function and I selected allow video and audio auto play. It still happens

I don’t understand what Firefox is doing. For example, I used to start typing the first few letters of “weather.com”, which I visit pretty much daily, and it would auto fill “weather.com”. Now it auto fills every time with http://www.weatherbase.com/. I don’t know where that came from. Similarly, I used to type the first few letters of “duckduckgo.com” and it would bring up “duckduckgo.com”. Now it brings up a magnifying glass below the url with “Search with duckduckgo”. I am thinking it might be best if I can start over, i.e. clear out any information it’s saved about where it thinks I want to go, and start remembering the sites I am entering now.

I am getting to the end of my tether with Firefox. I have used it for years but the increasing issues are driving me to distraction.

It will not display comments on the Daily Mail UK website, The Telegraph UK site and the screen is scrambled if I try to use Ebay Philippines. I am not a computer expert but I have tried to follow other peoples suggestions with no luck.

I cant see the point of persisting with FireFox unless these issues are rectified.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Hello, while using Waterfox, recently, while on Facebook, the time a post was made on any given page stopped being shown except for the most recent - newest - one. Per the attached screenshots, the newest post shows that it was put up 26 mins before I got the screenshot, the post prior to that one does not show how long it's been since it was made. This is only in Waterfox. Not a problem with Firefox, Chrome or Edge. Waterfox is my browser of choice for all social media, so this is particularly problematic. Thanks for any help in resolving this.

In my Firefox email when I click on an email it opens to the entire page, but then if I want to get back to see the "Inbox" with the accounts and various folders I have created it seems the only way to do it is to scroll back on the line at the top which sometimes is short but literally sometimes takes a very long time and I don't know how close I'm getting, or I have to go up and click on the little contents box in the upper left corner, click on something else, like calendar or tasks to get out of email and then click on the contents box again and click on email. There has to be an easier way???

Hello. I have an issue with Firefox. Last week Facebook stopped showing images when run on Firefox. These are in the Feed and photos, etc. I tried refreshing, clearing cookies, history and cache. I changed enhanced tracking but nothing stops this. Are there any suggestions to repair this or could it be a bug? I work on Windows 10. Please help.

Hello when i am on facebook,and i want to do a video chat or a call chat it now tells me that video or voice calling is not supported by this browser,yet it was all working fine about a week ago and i went to do a video call two days ago and now i can't,i have no idea what has happened regards mark

Firefox seems to forget edits made to text boxes. I was reading a large pdf and adding notes to previously made text boxes. I thought I must be going crazy as I saw there was no notes I thought I had already made multiple times so I tested it. I edited a text box, scrolled a bit and continued browsing on another monitor. Checked in a minute and boom edit gone. If anyone has a solution I'd appreciate it as I have been using Firefox PDF editor for a bit and quite liked it until now.

Today while using firefox all my open tabs and windows crashed. Due to the situation, I had to restart my computer because everything was stuck. When it restarted I couldn't restore the previous session so I used various methods to restore it but I still can't restore the windows and tabs that were open today. I would like you to restore my session from before the failure today.

My Firefox browser recently updated to 115.11.0esr (64-bit), and now embedded videos won't play, I can initially see a picture, but instead of starting to play, the screen turns dark green and I can only hear the sound. This happened once before recently, but then it seemed to fix itself after a week or two. How can this be fixed?

I have looked around the Internet for similar issues, but most of them appear to address the moronic F11 full-screen problem. I'd be grateful to know if a 'tabs bar' option remains in FF126, and if so, how to enable it. Many thanks.

My Mozilla Firefox Web developer tool keeps autonomously toggling on/off in any Firefox window/tab..

Its as-if I'm repeatedly hitting Ctrl-Shft-I (which brings up the web developer tool in the bottom 1/4 of the browser).

I've checked all Setting, turned off all hardware acceleration as suggested for similar flickering problem (which wasn't on anyway).

I use Norton 360 Security Software but have Norton Safe Web disabled. The only active Extensions are Firefox Multi-Container and Firefox Sideview.

Its not doing it at the moment, but I'm not sure exactly what triggers it and expect it to happen again.

Last time it happened I was browsing Amazon. Hitting Ctrl-Shift-I only makes is turn off until start scrolling again, etc.

I don't think its virus related, because I use Norton 360, and Task manager "Performance Tab" show the computer is generally very mellow.

Please help, as I love Firefox, but this problem can drive one crazy.

I Can no longer have a direct access to my SFR mailbox and my Gmail. I must reauthentify myself each Time ID and password. I called SFR technical services, they told me they couldn't do anything. Firefox is an old browser, I should try to log myself with edge or chrome. How Can I continue have a direct access to my mail boxes with firefox?

I'm considering switching to Firefox for my primary browser BUT once I log in to AOL to check my mail, the print is tiny and cut off top and bottom of each letter. This is not a new problem, but I'm using Firefox more now and still have to use another browser OR another device to read my email. I am attaching a screen capture of what it looks like.
