My friend recently encountered an issue where he can no longer send email messages. Suddenly, all the buttons in the "Message" tab, except for "Create," became disabled. Additionally, the "Send" related buttons in the message creation window have disappeared.

I attempted to restore these buttons using Alt -> Toolbox, as suggested by similar questions. While the buttons do reappear in the toolbox view, they vanish again once I exit that view. All outgoing servers are configured correctly, and this setup has worked for several years without any problems. It seems that something is now blocking the ability to send emails.

We also tried updating and reinstalling the Thunderbird client, but nothing has resolved the issue.

Attached, you will find images of the disabled menus and proof of the correctly configured outgoing servers. Apologies for the software being in Russian; I hope it's still clear which buttons are disabled since the interface layout is the same.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated! Thank you.

YouTube has been so slow in Firefox. It just takes a ton of time for the video to actually play. It's just a spinning circle in a video. I can refresh several times and then it plays. I cleared my cache, history, data...etc everything from Firefox. That seemed to help for a bit. Then it just resulted back to being slow. It's just in Firefox. I played videos in Edge. It was fine. No issues. It's just FireFox. It started most recently too. It wasn't happening a week ago. I even tried going back to an old version of Firefox. Didn't help. Anyone know how to fix? Not using ad blockers either FYI. I just want videos to play normally and fast.

Hello all. Having updated Firefox a few days ago, we can no longer sign into Instagram. This happens only on Firefox, only since the last update, and Firefox is the same browser we have been using for years with Instagram. The problem is the cookie permission window for Instagram a) will not make a selection and b) will not disappear/close. We have attached a screenshot. There are no close tabs/buttons anywhere on this window, and we have looked the full length of the expanded window. As we have not changed any other setting, have not added any software, and this only happens on Firefox, we can only conclude that we have missed something which may have changed or been upgraded with your last update. This is quite urgent, as this is to manage the Instagram account of a wildlife conservation charity. So far we have tried reinstalling Firefox, clearing cookies, and deactivating/uninstalling all add-ons, however this has solved nothing. Could anyone suggest a solution please? I am running thunderbird-115.12.2-1 and Arch Linux and have the following Problem:

- I am using Unified Folders - Online search is disabled - If I change the view in any Unified Folder with more than 1 source folder to grouped by Thunderbird freezes and sometimes crashes - It does not matter what the sort by value is - Any time I switch from a not grouped by unified folder back to grouped by Thunderbird freezes and crashes sometimes again - The length of the freeze depends on the numbers of source folders for the unified folder. E.g. for my Inbox with 11 source folders between 5 and 10 minutes

I already tried - disable all addons - clear the disk cache - set mail.server.default.use_condstore to true - delete global-messages-db.sqlite

Right now the group by feature is not usable for me but makes it so much more clearer that I don't want to miss it.

For the past couple of days when I watch videos on YouTube on my iMac it's VERY slow to start. Sometimes it takes minutes, at which point I have to refresh, and best case it takes about 1 minute to start.

I have cleared the startup cache, cleared cookies and restarted Firefox.

Also, YouTube works normally on both Safari and Chrome.

Not a super 'tech' guy so any basic steps I can take are appreciated.

I am in Australia and Optus is my email provider. They have checked all is working at their end and suggest I contact Thunderbird which is why I am here.

For the last several weeks (can't give an exact date, but it's been more than just a couple weeks, less than a couple months), both my husband and I have had issues loading videos in FF. We both have the latest version of FF. I went thru "Fix common audio and video issues" and did all those things, as well as trying to load the videos in troubleshooting mode. Nothing has helped (tho now that i cleared all the cache, i'm gonna have to log back into all those websites :( ). Nothing else is problematic. Our internet connection is fine. In fact, my husband has resorted to using MS browser to watch videos--they load fine in that browser. I have no other idea what to do. Searching your database for "youtube videos load slow" only resulted in a couple hits with no resolution. Hopefully this isn't the third. thanks

When I launched Thunderbird today, it would not connect to one mailserver: imap.mailfence.com. At the same time, Thunderbird said to restart to update to 115.2.2. After updating, it still refuses to connect. There is nothing wrong with Mailfence and I do not find anything wrong with the configuration settings in Thunderbird. I even tried to set up my Mailfence email account again but it failed because it could not connect. Ideas? Thank you.

Hi everyone, My Thunderbird yesterday - without doing any unusual chances that know of - went weird. Whenever I open the programme now it shows a completely different interface and I can't navigate back in any way to the usual calendar, email, contacts. It also seems to be frozen, because when I click settings it doesn't open any window. I have attached a screenshot of how it looks now.

Could anyone help me out on how to get back to regular Thunderbird? I am also a bit worried of losing all my contacts / calendar.

Let me know if there's more info I can give from my end. Any help very much appreciated.

I cannot send or receive messages on my Thunderbird a/c. I Believe I have to firstly update my email password from my supplier (Spark New Zealand) but to date I have been unable to do this. When I tried to do this on line Thunderbird indicated they did not recognize my email account at all. What should I do?
