I have Firefox 3.0.1 and a Dell desktop. I clean out the cache periodically and once every few months, I also clean out all the cookies for a fresh start. When I do that, I know that I will have to put my password back in to my homepage, along with some other pages that I have customized like Google's Awesome Start. Well, that is fine because I am doing it on purpose. Now, suddenly, every time I close the browser and then open it again, it is as if all the cookies have been cleaned. I have to re-enter a password and email address for my homepage to get my mail and have to redo the entire Awesome start page, along with re-entering user names and passwords on pages that otherwise would be 'remembered' by Firefox. I have re-started the computer, I have checked the Options and have never had the box checked that says, 'clear out private data every time I close Firefox' or whatever it says. I have NEVER had that checked. I don't want Firefox to clear the data automatically. So, why is it now doing it? Thanks for any help.
